Jizhou District, which belongs to Tianjin, is located in the northernmost part of Tianjin, in the heart of Beijing, Tianjin, Tang and Cheng. Jizhou District was called Yuyang in ancient times, and it was called the Kingdom of endless sons in the Spring and Autumn period, and there was no end in the warring States period. It belonged to right Peiping County in the Qin Dynasty and Jizhou was established in the Tang Dynasty. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to the county under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province. In September 1973, it was assigned to Tianjin. On July 28, 2016, the municipal party committee and municipal government decided to abolish Jixian and establish Jizhou District. Jizhou District is the only semi-mountainous area in Tianjin, and it is also the "back garden" of Tianjin. It is listed as a national ecological demonstration area.
