Luoyang, also known as Luoyi and Luojing, is a prefecture-level city in Henan Province. Luoyang has a total area of 15230 square kilometers, including an urban area of 803 square kilometers. The western part of Henan Province is about 179km long from east to west and 168km wide from north to south. Across the north and south sides of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, Zhengzhou City in the east, Sanmenxia City in the west, Jiaozuo City in the north and Pingdingshan City and Nanyang City in the south. Luoyang has a history of more than 5000 years of civilization, more than 4000 years of urban history and more than 1500 years of capital history. As far back as five or six hundred thousand years ago in the Paleolithic Age, there were ancestors who lived in Luoyang. Yu delimited Kyushu and Heluo belonged to ancient Yuzhou. Luoyang is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, the eastern starting point of the Silk Road and the center of the Sui and Tang dynasties. In history, there were more than ten dynasties in Luoyang.
