Yongchuan District, which belongs to Chongqing, is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the west of Chongqing. It gets its name from the "three rivers in the city, Huibi, shaped like the seal character 'Yong'. It bought a county in 776 AD." It is 55 kilometers east from Chongqing and 276 kilometers west from Chengdu, Sichuan. Yongchuan District is connected with Jiangjin District and Bishan District in the east, Rongchang District and Dazu District in the west, Tongliang District in the north, Hejiang County in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province and Lu County in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province in the south.
