Ask everyone, how to get from Guilin to Yangshuo West Street Li River drifting road?
Hey! At Guilin Bus Station, I took a bus to Yangshuo and got off in Yangdi. Then I took another mini-bus to Yangdi Wharf and from there, I rode bamboo rafts down Li River, disembarking at final wharf Xingping. The price of bamboo raft ride on-site is much higher than online booking prices; it’s recommended to book online ahead of time! After successful booking, you will receive a confirmation SMS telling you the guide’s name and contact number. Once you arrive in Guilin, just schedule with him beforehand, and he’ll be waiting for you at your designated time. I hope my answer helps you!
From Guilin to Yangshuo, take a LI River cruise boat and get off at Longtou Hill dock as the water level is low recently. The cruise boats have three-star or four-star levels (see Fig. 1-2), with different options for upper deck, lower deck, car pick-up at the berth, etc.

In Yangshuo, I chose to drift down the Li River from Jin Long Bridge to Old Town (about 9 rapids), which was quite exciting and took about a half hour; however, it is relatively far from West Street of Yangshuo, so we recommend taking a car to pick you up at the hotel.

The first batch of bamboo rafts will be around 500 in number, and there may not be any until another half an hour after that for them to return to Jin Long Bridge dock; therefore, try your best to depart early from Guilin and choose cars arriving between 8:00-9:00. The drifting time is shorter when the water level is high at Gongnongqiao dock, with nice scenery (see Fig. 3-4).
The distance is far, time too long. It’s recommended to buy a four-star boat ticket from city center and take it comfortably. No matter how good or bad the weather is, you won’t be affected much. From the dock in city center, slowly “stroll around” for about 4 hours to reach Yangshao Dock, and after getting off the boat, walk for about 10 minutes to arrive at West Street of Yangshao.
Hello! At Guilin Zhongshan Bus Station, take a bus to Yangshuo and get off at Yangdi. Then take an air-conditioned van from Yangdi Wharf to Xingping Wharf. Take a bamboo raft floating trip along Li River; note that the on-site price for this service greatly exceeds the online purchasing price! It’s highly recommended that you book ahead of time through our website, and after successful booking, we will send you a confirmation text message informing you of your boatman’s name and phone number. After arriving in Guilin, make contact with him as agreed upon, and he will be waiting for you at the appointed time. I hope my answer can help you!
From Guilin to Yangshuo by Li River cruise ship, due to recent low water level, disembark at Longtoushan dock. The cruise ship has three-star or four-star options (see Fig. 1-2), with upper and lower decks, car-parking lot, etc., each offering different choices. In Yangshuo is the drifting adventure on Wuling River, I chose a stretch from Golden Dragon Bridge to Old Town, passing through nine rapids, quite thrilling, takes about half an hour, far away from downtown West Street in Yangshuo, recommending taking a car for pick-up and drop-off at hotel. The first batch of bamboo rafts was approximately 500, after the finish, it will take at least another half an hour to have them transported back to Golden Dragon Bridge dock, so try your best to start early morning’s first batch around 8:00 or 9:00 am for car-ride pick-up. The drifting time from Waterfall Bottom to Gongnongqiao dock is relatively short, the scenery is nice, see Fig. 3-4.
The distance is quite far, and the time is too long. It’s recommended to buy a 4-star ticket from urban area and take it comfortably. The weather good or bad doesn’t affect much anyway. Start slowly “wandering” from the city dock for about four hours to reach Yangshan Dock. After getting off the boat, walk for about 10 minutes to get to West Street in Yangshan.
