Baishui’s Ten Li of Lily Pond is located in Ganlian Village, Xiangzhou Town, Tiandong County, formed from the ancient river channel of the You River. The pond’s water surface is about ten miles long from north to south, with the entire area covered in green lotus leaves, hence the name “Ten Li of Lily Pond.” The Ten Li of Lily Pond is the first of Tiandong County’s eight scenic spots, with ancient poetry saying: “Vast and clear, winding and long, lotus leaves gracefully spread their green canopy. A ten-mile flower blooms with a ten-mile fragrance, and the setting sun’s red hues fill the lotus pond.” Currently, the Ten Li of Lily Pond is actively being developed by the Tiandong County Committee and Government. The development plan for “The Ecological Agricultural Tourism Area of Tiandong’s Ten Li of Lily Pond” has been approved by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau. The planning concept of the scenic area is: to make the water scenery of the Ten Li of Lily Pond and the rural scenery the main attractions, with modern agriculture in the You River Valley as the依托, integrating orchard tourism, rural scenery viewing, agricultural science and technology tourism, and water recreational activities into a comprehensive ecological agricultural tourism area. Its theme image is: Ten Li of Lily Pond, Ten Li of Picturesque Scenery, the Best of the World’s Lotus, the Garden of the World’s Lotus.
