It has been passed down for a long time that every year on March 27th of the lunar calendar, there would be activities such as archery and martial arts competitions held here. In the early Ming dynasty, poet Mao Xuan included this place in his Eight Views of Baoshan list. The local area is home to several relics related to Zhuge Liang, including the Diwan Dam, Wu Hou Temple, Zhuge Spring, and Zhuge’s Grain Storehouse, etc. Ancient records from the Ming Dynasty considered locals as descendants of Zhuge Liang’s southern campaign army, although it should be noted that there are no verified historical records confirming whether Zhuge Liang stationed his troops in Baoshan.
