There are some mosques in Binchuan County, among which Binju Mosque is more famous. Binju Mosque is located in the northeast corner of Binju Town, 22 kilometers south of Binchuan County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. The main hall is in Chinese classical style and covers an area of 6 acres. There are currently three worship halls, which were rebuilt in 1933. There is a gold plaque with Arabic characters hanging high in the hall. A black lacquered wooden plaque hangs high outside the temple door, which reads “The True Source of All Things”. The couplet on the wooden board reads, “The original meaning of the Jingyi Jingjiao is truly comprehensive and encompasses all things, and the non-dual and unmixed Tao encompasses the three talents of heaven and earth.” There is a rough stone tablet on the north wall of the outer wall with the words “Ancient Qing Zhen” written on it, and a plaque hanging on the Xuan Li Tower reads “The Holy Scriptures Huan Cai”.
