A clever question!
To the Buddha of Maitreya, can a car drive up?
The answer is no. According to Buddhist tradition and mythology, Maitreya’s Pure Land (or Tushita heaven) is not subject to worldly laws or physics. It exists outside of our mortal realm, making it impossible for cars (or any physical objects) to physically travel there.
In fact, the concept of a car or other material possessions has no meaning in this pure land, as all beings reside in perfect harmony and simplicity. The idea is that one’s intention and mindfulness transport them to this enlightened state, rather than relying on external means like cars!
