The Huangguang Mountain Fuguang Temple is located among the mountains to the north of Dannaoshan in Huilai County, situated between the mountains of Luxiang Village in Xixi Town and Quxi. The temple was originally named Xuande Ancient Temple and was built in the first year of Deyou of the Southern Song Dynasty (1275), with a history of over 700 years. The most representative scenic spot in the temple is the large Buddha statue at the top of the mountain. The lotus throne of the large Buddha is 2.08 meters high, the height of the large Buddha is 21.34 meters, and the total weight is 3200 tons, costing over 3 million yuan. The statue is praised as the “First Buddha in Dongguan, Guangdong.”
Huangguangshan Fuguang Temple is located in the northwest direction of Huilai County, Guangdong Province, 17.3 kilometers away from the county seat, situated among the mountains between Luyang Village in Xixi Town and Quxi Village.
