The best of a day and night, in the daytime look at Ha’s ancestral home, experience Hakka clothing, take photos, rowing boats, find a riverside small shop to sit and have something to drink. In the evening, shoot the nighttime view, watch performances, eat braised pork belly and blood tofu with mao wine, which is very good. Go ahead and indulge!
Playing for one evening just about did it, nothing much fun to do, just take in views and snap photos. Eat at Windy Rain Bridge has an aunt selling super nice rice flour dumplings and local fish specialties; everything else is pretty similar.
“One day and one night’s best, watch historical sites during the day, experience cultural performances, take photos, row a boat, find a riverside café to sit down, have some drinks. At night, take nightscapes, look at performances, eat charcoal grilled food from Big Wok and Blood Duck restaurant with mao tai wine and it’s very good, can go try.”
It’s about playing out till almost night, there’s not much fun to be had, just watching scenery and taking photos. As for food, an aunt has a stall selling super nice congee and tofu by the rain bridge. There are also special fish dishes, everything else is pretty similar.
