From Zhangjiajie to Phoenix Ancient City, it’s recommended to take a taxi. Zhangjiajie Bus Station has direct buses to Phoenix Ancient City which is the most convenient option, taking around 4-5 hours in total. Alternatively, you can take a train to Jishou city and then transfer to another bus or car to Phoenix Ancient City, but this route might be more troublesome. It’s suggested that you just take the direct bus!
Recommend going to Fenhua for a 3-5 minute ride on high-speed or dynamic train in the evening around 10pm to watch the night view. It’s just right.
