How to go to Taiyuan or Pingyao after visiting Mount Wutai

The bus station in Wutai Mountain Scenic Area has a direct bus to Taiyuan, every hour. There are bullet trains and cars from Taiyuan to Pingyao, which is very convenient.

There are trains from Mount Wutai to Taiyuan and Pingyao, but the train station is far from the scenic spot. Wutaishan Bus Station is close to the scenic spot. There are buses to Taiyuan from 8:00 to 16:00 every day. The interval is about one hour, and the journey takes about 3.5 hours. There are few buses to Pingyao.
