The Chishong Guan Longcang Cave is located in the Peifeng area, 8 kilometers northwest of Huicheng Town, Huailai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. Here, the mountains are clear and the waters are beautiful, the natural scenery is magnificent. It is said that during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Song Chaoyue, a native of Jinghai Town in Huailai County, along with his Taoist friends, traveled through the nine counties of Chaozhou and the eighteen scenic spots in Huailai, recognizing the descent of the Kunlun Mountains, the west of Peifeng and Wangtian Ridge, the double breasts peak, and living on the Fudao Rock and the Huaping Mountain, realizing the jade box in the Youping Stone Pit, the immortal teacher pursued the dragon and the phoenix to the south, only to see the dragon hiding and the phoenix perching. Upon reaching the “Longcang Cave,” he divined and vowed and jokingly said: “The world is the realm of the immortal, 389 years later, there will naturally be my descendant, the kind-hearted person of the bright moon, creating the view and building the palace here in the Longcang Cave.” By November 1994, local Taoists raised over 3 million yuan to repair the ancient temple, completing the “Longcang Cave Chishong Guan Huangda Xian Temple” and being approved and registered for opening by the Religious Affairs Bureau of Jieyang City and the Religious Affairs Bureau of Huailai County. On the 23rd day of the 8th lunar month of 1996, the birthday of Huangda Xian was celebrated and the establishment and unveiling of the Longcang Cave Management Committee were held, a grand celebration unprecedented in history. They have also hosted more than 30,000 visitors from home and abroad, held the “Luotian Great Rite” ceremony three times, with about 150,000 believers participating. Currently, the “Yijing Real Person Palace” is being constructed in the rear hall of the Chishong Guan, with the foundation ceremony held on April 20, 1997. Engineers from Shantou University and Shantou Garden Architecture designed it, following the patterns of the great master Lu Ban. It is designed as the Three Talents of Heaven, Earth, and Man, with three layers: the upper layer in the shape of the Temple of Heaven surging into the clouds; the middle layer as a city wall-shaped八卦 maze; and the bottom layer as a magnificent underground palace.
