If I go to Taipei and transit in Hong Kong, do I still need to apply for a Hong Kong Pass?

There is no need to apply for a Hong Kong and Macau pass. With the valid endorsement and Taiwan entry permit of the Taiwan pass, plus a round-trip ticket, you can stay in Hong Kong for 7 days.

You don’t need to transfer, but you can’t leave the airport. If you are insured, you can call the airport or the airline to inquire.

It is not necessary to hold a joint flight ticket. If you want to get out of the airport, you only need to travel to and from Taiwan, that is, you can fill in the transit form at the immigration office with the documents you bought the ticket.
