The Taizhou Contemporary Art Museum was completed in 2016, designed by Liu Yichun, a renowned Chinese architect and the original designer of the Shanghai Long Museum, and it won the German International Architecture Silver Award. The museum is located at No. 5 Fengshan Road, in the Laoliangfang Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. The museum has hosted four editions of the “Zhejiang Province Oil Painting Exhibition,” promoting the development of the oil painting industry in Zhejiang and the creative enthusiasm of Zhejiang oil painters. At the same time, it maintains long-term cooperative relationships with well-known art schools and institutions in the country and has successfully held exhibitions such as “Huanan Miró | Original Printmaking Exhibition,” “Zero Altitude - Zhejiang New锐 Artists Group Exhibition,” “Garden Dream Today - Oil Painting Exhibition,” and “Spinning Edge & Living Things Installation Art Exhibition,” bringing spiritual feasts to the people of Taizhou. To help young artists grow, in early 2018, the “Young Artist Discovery Program” was innovatively launched, dedicated to promoting young artists with potential and market appeal to the public and regularly presenting high-quality exhibitions and art projects.
