Grand-scale Zhuang ethnic mythological stage play “Hua Shan” is a collaboration between Chongzuo City and Chinese Mountain and Water Stage Play Founders Mei Shuiyuan Team, with Ljiang Hua Shan Rock Art Cultural Scenic Area as the backdrop. This large-scale mountain-and-water stage show combines high-tech elements to create an immersive experience. The play will present on-site reproductions of numerous rituals and everyday life scenarios depicted in rock paintings, telling the story of Zhuang ethnic ancestors struggling against natural disasters, their struggles, sacrifices, and the birth of love stories within this process. This spectacle fully showcases the profound cultural connotations of Lao people’s culture, as well as vibrant and colorful Zhuang folk customs.
“Hua Shan” successfully premiered on December 15th, 2018 at Chongzuo City World Cultural Heritage Site China Flower Mountain Time Space Theater, and has become a long-term performance with grand-scale stage shows. The show’s content is rich, the stage effects are shocking, and the performers’ performances are excellent, deeply loved by audiences.
