Children’s Park, formerly known as Xishan Park and Meihai Park, is located north of the fourth, fifth and sixth streets of Hongjun Road, south of Xinxing Road, east of Qidao Street of Hongjun Road, and west of the municipal government compound in Xiangyang District. It was built in 1956 and covers an area of 10.8 hectares. The name was changed to People’s Park in 1967, Meihai Park in May 1977, and Children’s Park in 2000. It is the first park in the history of Hegang City. The south gate of the park is shaped like a fairy tale castle, full of childlike interest. The park has numerous children’s amusement facilities and garden landscapes, and is a children-themed park.
