Lüxi County Longquan Temple, also known as “Pandan Temple”, is located in the Mudugou Town of Lüxian City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is 20 kilometers away from downtown Lüxian City and 19 kilometers away from Mimi City.

This temple was built during the Ming Dynasty and Qing Period, specifically in 1643 AD.

In front of the temple there is a dragon pond, where the water flows southward for dozens of meters into a deep, bottomless valley. Behind the pond are majestic mountains with rugged peaks, numerous hills that rise and fall, dense forests teeming with bamboo, swirling clouds and birds. There is also sandy flatland tens of mu in extent.

In windy or sunny weather, the reflection on the surface of the lake creates a mirror-like effect, accompanied by the soft murmurs produced as water flowed over rocky terrain at its foot. The cypress trees, pines, and wisteria drooped into the lake’s waters, with aquatic birds occasionally playing in it and fish swimming out to play.

From time to time, Buddhist chanting bell sounds from within allow animals and birds alike to frolic jubilantly.
Luzhai County Longquan Temple, also known as “Panlong Temple”, is located in Yunnan Province, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture’s Luzhai County, Wuding Township, about 20 kilometers from the county seat of Luzhai, and 19 kilometers from Mile City. The temple was initially built at the end of the Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, namely in AD1643. There is a dragon pool facing the temple, with water flowing southward for many meters, its depth impossible to measure. Behind the pool are towering mountains with winding valleys, lush forests with bamboo and wisteria intertwined, clouds veiled around, birds and beasts gathered there. Before the pool lies a sandy plain of several tens of acres, where in windy or sunny weather, the pool’s surface is like a mirror, water flowing through bottom rocks to produce clear pleasant sounds; pine trees, cypress, and creepers are reflected in the pool, with aquatic animals playing in the water, flying fish jumping out of it. The calmness of Zen bell chimes makes birds and beasts leap for joy.
