Is the National Palace Museum in Taipei open on New Year's Eve?

According to their calendar it is open for New Years Eve. One year, I went to the Forbidden City on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month for free. Later, I found out that many local festivals except the Lantern Festival are open for free, and the first day of the new year should be the same.

Open until 16:00 on New Year's Eve. It is open normally on the first day of the first day.
