Dining on seafood can be done at street-side seafood stalls or bringing it back to one’s accommodation after purchasing from the nearby fish market. For those who prefer to choose their own ingredients, they can also head to the nearby fish market to buy seafood for cooking themselves.

Nearby Wenling Shitang Peninsula is a large expanse of pleasant beach called “Cave Beach”, with a natural cave nearby and water curtains covering entrance after rainfall, earning it its nickname. In the morning when there are fewer tourists, the beach surface is relatively flat, allowing visitors to swim far out or watch flying fish jumping out of the sea at some distance.

The surrounding area has a long history of fishing villages, offering good anchorage for wind protection. Visitors can take ferries to nearby islands such as Shapo Island and other small islands when the tide recedes. The ferry fare across the water is just a few yuan. Fishing in the waters around these islands is also an entertaining leisure activity, where one can catch many red-colored small pomfrets.

If you want to visit an island across from the wharf, only costs a few yuan for ferry service. Fishing on nearby islands is also quite enjoyable leisure activity; many red coral can be caught there as well.
