Shiping County Museum, formerly known as Yuping Academy, is located at No. 4, Beizheng Street, Shiping County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Yuping Academy faces south and covers an area of 3,303 square meters. It is large in scale and consists of the main gate, second gate, archway, lecture hall, school building and other buildings. It is a wooden structure with three entrances and a quadrangle, with the momentum of a palace. After an overhaul in 2016, it was officially opened in May 2018. Together with the adjacent Shiping Confucian Temple, it constitutes a local cultural landmark and is displayed to the outside world as a museum of Shiping County Academy and imperial examinations.
