There may be a group passing by Hsinchu and stopping for a day, but there should be no one who really comes to Hsinchu specifically. Hsinchu is a place in the suburbs, such as Neiwan and Beipu, which are more distinctive. The urban area is a place with more technological industries and less tourism. Town God's Temple is one of the few scenic spots. There are delicious foods, but there are not many of them compared to other counties and cities (there are some snack and dessert shops with various cuisines and some good ones, but not specialties), and the prices are relatively high. For transportation, you still have to drive by yourself.
