Xishuangbanna Mangli Cultural Tourism Area (formerly known as Mangli Great Buddha Temple), a national 4A-level tourist attraction, is located from the end of Highway No. 1 in the holiday resort of Jinghong City, Yunnan Province, China, to the South莲 Mountain. It covers an area of approximately 266,700 square meters and has a building area of 36,000 square meters. The scenic area was opened for construction on the original site of “Jingpiao Temple” in 2005. “Jingpiao Temple” was built during the Ming Dynasty and is one of the symbolic buildings representing the twelve Xishuangbanna in the southern Buddhism and an important place for Buddhist activities in Xishuangbanna. It was destroyed in a war in the year 2883 of the Buddhist era (1848 during the Qing Dynasty Xianfeng period). In November 2007, the first phase of this project was completed. On January 7, 2020, Mangli Great Buddha Temple was renamed to Mangli Cultural Tourism Area.
Xishuangbanna Manfeilin Cultural Tourism Area (Original Name: Manfeilin Great Buddha Temple) is a national 4A level tourist attraction, located from the end of Highway No. 1 in the holiday resort of Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province to the Nanlian Mountain. It covers an area of approximately 266,700 square meters, with a building area of 36,000 square meters. The scenic area was constructed on the site of the original “Jingpiao Buddhist Temple” in 2005. The “Jingpiao Buddhist Temple” was built during the Ming Dynasty and is one of the iconic buildings symbolizing the twelve Bannans of the Southern Transmission Buddhism and an important site for Buddhist activities in Bannan. It was destroyed in a war in the year 2883 of the Buddhist era (1848 during the Qianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty). In November 2007, the first phase of the project was completed. On January 7, 2020, Manfeilin Great Buddha Temple was renamed to Manfeilin Cultural Tourism Area.
