Not recommended. It takes about a day and a half for a one-way drive from Guang'an to the southernmost tip of Shanxi, and at least 3 days on the way back and forth. The time spent on sightseeing is shorter than the time spent on the road. If you still decide to travel, you can refer to the following itinerary:
Start on the first day, stay for one night halfway, arrive at the Guanque Tower at the southernmost tip of Shanxi in the afternoon of the second day, and then stay in Yuncheng.
Leaving Yuncheng on the third day to go to Pingyao Ancient City, and spend the rest of the day in Pingyao Ancient City to play and stay.
On the fourth day, go to Qiao Family Courtyard or Wang Family Courtyard, then go to Dahuaishu, and stay in Jixian County at night.
Go to Hukou Waterfall on the morning of the fifth day (the current scenic spot on the Shanxi side is closed, you can see the waterfall on the Shaanxi side on the other side of the Yellow River), and then start the return journey (you need to start the return journey in the morning of the fifth day, and the drive to Guang'an is more than one day Halfway), stay for one night halfway, and return to Guang'an on the sixth night.
Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan have tail numbers 5 and 1 on weekdays, so be careful to avoid them on restricted days (generally, urban areas and county towns are restricted areas, and suburbs and expressways are not restricted).
