Actually, Phoenix Ancient City is okay without too many complexities. As long as you don’t go to villages in other areas, I think it’s a normal life like that. If you do visit villages, then you just have to be gentle and cautious when entering someone’s home, not saying unnecessary words, not being noisy or messy, etc. Personally, I find nothing special about Phoenix Ancient City except for this one restaurant specializing in charcoal-grilled dishes at Big Pot, Big Wok, Charcoal-Fired Restaurant - I think it’s the only decent eatery inside Phoenix Ancient City that really stands out!
Actually, Phoenix Ancient City is okay, there’s no need to be so calculating, as long as you don’t visit the Yao villages. Otherwise, I think it’s a normal life-like experience. But if you do visit the Yao villages, then you have to be extra careful when entering someone’s home. Don’t blabber unnecessary stuff, or make embarrassing noises, and definitely don’t step on people’s thresholds either. To me, Phoenix Ancient City is nothing special otherwise. I highly recommend trying out the barbecue at this one restaurant in town called Big Pot, Big Wok, Charcoal Fire Restaurant - to my knowledge it’s the only decent dining place inside Phoenix Ancient City!
