Yingwu Mountain is located at the junction of Datong, Wulong, and Longqing three townships in the southeastern part of Shizong County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It is a relatively high mountain range in Shizong County, with an altitude of 2,409.7 meters. Yingwu Mountain is both a tourist attraction and a nature reserve, covering an area of approximately 30 square kilometers. It was previously named “Junzi Mountain” because many wild edible mushrooms could be picked on the mountain in summer. The name was later changed to Yingwu Mountain, one reason being that “Yingwu Mountain” was originally the ancient name of this mountain (recorded in historical texts); the other reason is that the name “Junzi Mountain” is too concrete and cannot cover the diverse and colorful scenery of the attraction.
