Laihe Pavilion, also known as Haishan Pavilion, is located on Moshudao Island in Xiaoruicheng Village, Yilong Town, Shiping County, about three kilometers away from Shiping Ancient City. There is an interesting folk legend about the origin of Laihe Pavilion: During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Guangding, who was the magistrate of Shiping, went boating on the lake and boarded the “Haishan Pavilion”. He met a scholar in Tsing Yi drinking alone in the pavilion. The scholar warmly invited him. The two drank and talked about poetry. Unknowingly, after a long time, Wang Guangding found that the sun did not seem to move. When he was surprised, the scholar played the flute to let the sun set. Then a white crane descended, and the scholar straddled the crane and flew away. Wang Guangding suddenly realized that he had met Lu Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals. Afterwards, he invited craftsmen to build a colorful statue of Lu Xian riding a crane and playing the flute in the pavilion, and renamed “Haishan Pavilion” to “Laihe Pavilion”.
The Nostalgia Memory Museum is located in Qiaotou Village, Basin Town, Shiping County. It was formerly the Family Temple. It was built in the 25th year of Guangxu (1899) and has a history of more than 120 years. After liberation, it was once the office space of the Baxin District Tax Office, and after the 1970s it was used as a grain and oil sales point. After renovation and renovation, it is now not only the Qiaotou Village Party Member Activity Room, but also the Qiaotou Village Nostalgia Memory Hall and the Basin Town Cultural Service Center, achieving multiple uses in one hall.
