Chongzuo Yuan Bao Garden is the seventh Guangxi (Chongzuo) Horticulture and Botanical Exhibition garden district, located in the western part of Chongzuo New City District, adjacent to Shijinglin Scenic Area. The planned area of the park covers about 101 acres, including approximately 68 hectares of land and 33 hectares of water area, making it a relatively large-scale exhibition garden.
The entire garden district is composed of “One axis (mountain-and-water painting-style) One belt (water system scenic belt), three zones (urban exhibition zone, natural scenery zone, and public display zone)), multiple nodes” and the main fusion of Chongzuo’s local Zhuang culture features, with tiled roof- top architecture.
Inside the park there are 14 exhibition gardens set up for each prefecture-level city in Guangxi province, including the Copper Drums Bridge and Embroidered Ball Bridge sceneries; a rare tree species garden and wetland scenery. In terms of building and landscape design, the garden district skillfully utilizes topographical differences to form water systems, cantilevered floors, etc., with a combination of local Zhuang cultural elements such as pottery, embroidery, bronze drums, and sky instruments, creating an integrated fusion of ethnic culture between Sichuan province in southern China.
In 2016, the Shijinglin – Yuan Bao Garden scenic area was evaluated as AAAA-Level tourist attractions by national standards.
This is a comprehensive and functional multi-functional scenic area featuring five main functions: cultural exchange events, Southeast Asian-style cuisine, vast sightseeing gardens, scientific popular education training, recreational shopping tours.
Chongzuo Garden Expo Park is the 7th Guangxi (Chongzuo) Horticultural Exposition Park district, located on the west side of Chongzuo New City Area, adjacent to Shijielin Scenic Spot. The park covers an area of approximately 101 mu, including about 68 mu of land, and around 33 mu of water areas, making it a large-scale garden expo park.
The entire park is composed of “one axis (mountain-water-screen), one zone (water system landscape strip), three zones (urban exhibition zone, natural scenery area, and public display zone) with multiple nodes” including Tian Qin Square, main pavilion, Loulong Gallery Water Platform, stairway, etc. The park mainly integrates Chongzuo local Zhuang ethnic characteristics into its design, featuring sloping roof architecture and lattice structure.
Inside the park are 14 urban exhibition zones for Guangxi cities and copper drum bridges, embroidered ball bridges, as well as gardens of precious tree species, wetland scenic spots, and more. In terms of building and landscape design, the park skillfully utilizes terrain differences to create water systems, overhead levels, etc. spatial effects. It combines with Zhuang cultural elements such as slope-top architecture, colors, copper drums, embroidery patterns, etc., together forming a blended fusion of Zhuang culture and Southeast Asian culture in this waterfront ancient town architectural group.
By the end of 2016, Shijielin-Garden Expo Park scenic area was evaluated as National AAAA-level tourism resort. This is an integrated multi-functional park that combines performance cultural exchange, ASEAN characteristic cuisine, cultural exhibitions, science popularization education and training, leisure shopping tours, with five main functional components:
