Grand Righteous White Jade Cave is a natural limestone cave located 1.5 kilometers west of Guanxi Province, Fenghuang City’s downtown area, on top of an ancient city mountain left behind by Dalian. It ranks first in Fenghuang’s Eight Scenic Views. The cave interior features exquisite stalactites and stalagmites that shine like white jade, thus earning its “White Jade” reputation.
The cave has three levels, also known as the Three Heavens Caves: the First Heaven Cave, Second Heaven Cave, and Third Heaven Cave. With holes within holes, above-and-below holes, and connected and piled-up holes, each level is linked by tunnels, with entrances leading inwards and outwards too.
The cave can accommodate thousands of people. As Su Yuan’s “sanctuary” and a strategic military location, he left many inscriptions and stone carvings inside the cave. Outside the cave are buildings such as the Beidi Shrine, suitable for photography.
Additionally, there are attractions like Dalian City and Wusheng Palace nearby that can be visited together. If you’re interested in cave scenery and historical culture, Grand Righteous White Jade Cave is a place worth visiting. When sightseeing, please take note to protect the natural landscapes and cultural relics within the cave.
