Ganyue Temple is located in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, and is a South Traversal Buddhist temple that combines Dai traditional architectural style with Southeast Asian charm. This temple has a long history, originally built in 833 AD (Dai calendar 295) by the monk community led by the monk Pama Hah Ananda, who came to Xishuangbanna to propagate the Dharma, with the support of King Saopeng Maraza, together with the villagers from Manzhen village and other places. The stupa center of Ganyue Temple is about 8.5 meters deep, and legend has it that it originally enshrined 2 strands of the Buddha’s hair, which was later renovated multiple times and 4 Buddha relics were placed in the stupa center. In 2014 (Thai calendar 1376), Du Han, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Buddhist Association of China, the Vice Chairman of the Political Consultative Conference of Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, and the Chairman of the Buddhist Association of Jinghong City, initiated the fifth renovation of the Ganyue Buddha Stupa.
The Prajna Temple is located in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, and is a Southern Buddhism temple that combines the traditional Dainan architectural style with the Southeast Asian charm. This temple has a long history, initially built in 833 AD (Dainan 295), led by the monk Pandit Pajahara Ananda, who came to Xishuangbanna to propagate the Dharma. Under the protection of King Saw Pom Malaza, the temple was jointly built by the villagers of Manzhen village and others. The stupa of Prajna Temple has a core depth of about 8.5 meters, and it is said that it originally enshrined two strands of the Buddha’s hair. After multiple renovations, four Buddha relics were placed in the stupa core. In 2014 (Thai calendar 1376), Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jinghong City Committee of Political Consultative Conference, and President of the Jinghong City Buddhist Association, Monk Duhun, initiated the fifth renovation of the Prajna Stupa.
