Menghai Jinglongzong Buddhist Temple is located in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna. Its specific location is about 230 meters southeast of the intersection of Xingfu Road and Jinglong Road. Jinglong Buddhist Temple has a long history. It was built in the 113th year of the Dai calendar (651 AD). It was built by the Dai people led by Zhao Hanshi, the fourth chieftain of Menghai County. Initially, a wool-thatched house was built. In the 117th year of the Dai calendar, the wool-thatched house was demolished and rebuilt on the original site into a brick, wood, and thatched roof structure. In 209 of the Dai calendar, it was replaced with a brick, wood, and tile roof structure.
