What is there in the Shipaiyang Scenic Area of the Pingtan International Tourism Island?

Shipaiyang Scenic Area is located in Pingtan County, Fujian Province. It is the most famous natural landscape in Pingtan, also known as “Half Ocean Stone Sail” and “Double Sail Stone”. Looking from a distance, there is a large disc-shaped reef supporting two monument-shaped sea stacks, one high and one low. The pillars are mainly controlled by two sets of vertical joints and a set of arc-shaped horizontal joints. In the long geological history, strong spherical and columnar sea erosion, weathering, and weathered crust have occurred along the joints. The layers peeled off, and the two stone pillars now are the fresh core parts peeled off by weathering. According to research by geologists, this is the largest granite spherical weathered sea stack in the world. Shipaiyang is open all day long.
