It’s estimated that everyone who knows about Xiao Manwaos, such as type of people. I’ll mention a few somewhat offbeat ones: 1, Dongshan Mouth - there are many Republican-era little Foreign-style houses in this area along Guting Lu. After getting out of Exit D at XiBei Station, take the treasure-han street inside and you’ll find that it’s full of Xinjiang people and Africans; the Xinjiang restaurants on one side of the road offer great local flavors, and there are also vendors selling naan bread on site. You can go up to see. 2, Xiaobeishan Metro Station has Exit D for treasure-han street inside, where you’ll find the entire area filled with people from Xinjiang and Africans; there’s a whole section dedicated to New Xinjiang-style dishes, as well as live vendors selling naan bread on site - worth exploring further. 3, If time permits, consider visiting the Liwan Park Building on top of the Yue Xiu Hill or Zhenting Hall. You’ll learn about Guangzhou history with stunning views.
Estimatedly, everyone knows about Xiaowan’s place, but I’ll mention a few less well-known spots:
1, Dongshan Gate area has many Republican-era small buildings and you can walk around along Guanggang Great Road. After getting there, take your time to stroll around and discover that on good weather days, lots of people are taking photos.
2, Exit D from Small North Subway Station has a street called Baohan Street where you’ll find mostly Xinjiang folk and African nationals. Inside the alley, there’s an entire block dedicated to Xinjian cuisine restaurants and vendors selling naan bread freshly made right in front of customers, feel free to pop by.
3, If time permits, head up to the six-story tower on top of Yueshou Park, also known as Zhenhai Tower, to learn more about Guangzhou’s history.
4, With a car, you can drive down to Zhongxian Village in Xiaojin County and enjoy eating Jiejia noodles while strolling around this old street.
