The Martyrs’ Cemetery, located in Quanxing Town, Bingshun Prefecture, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was initially built in March 1979. In September 1988, it relocated and concentrated the remains of martyrs from six cemeteries at the edge of the border area to support opening up the border. The cemetery further expanded in 2007 and renamed as Gongshi Martyrs’ Cemetery. It was listed as a national-level memorial facility for martyrs in September 2016.

Inside the cemetery, there are laid to rest 1024 people from all over China (autonomous region, municipality), including 23 province-level martyrs who bravely fought against enemy forces during Vietnam War and sacrificed their precious lives. Every year on Qingming Festival and “9.30” Martyrs’ Memorial Day, this cemetery holds grand commemorative events to pay homage to predecessors, inherit the red gene.
The Martyrs’ Memorial Cemetery located in Yongxin Township, Fengzhou City, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is managed by Fengzhou City Martyrs’ Memorial Management Center. The cemetery was first built in March 1979 and expanded in September 1988 to support border openness. In that year, the remains of martyrs from five burial sites: Kaplan Mountain Martyr Cemetery, Youji Martyr Cemetery, Shangliu Martyr Cemetery, Fupo Mountain Martyr Cemetery, Banqiao Martyr Cemetery, and Baoping Martyr Cemetery were concentrated and reburied here.

In 2007, further renovations and expansions took place, renaming the cemetery as Yongxin Martyrs’ Memorial. In September 2016, it was listed as a national-level martyr’s commemoration facility of class six. The cemetery buries remains from 23 provinces (autonomous regions), 1024 martyrs who fought bravely in self-defense war against Vietnam and sacrificed their precious lives to defend the border.

Each year, during Qingming Festival and Martyr Day on September 30th, a large-scale commemoration ceremony is held at this cemetery to pay homage to our ancestors, preserve red genealogy.
