The Stone Forest Long Lake is located in Weizhe Village, Changhu Town, 26 kilometers from the Stone Forest Scenic Area, nestled among mountains at an altitude of 1907 meters. The lake’s flat shape resembles a slender young woman, and it is the hometown of Aishima in folk tales. Because the lake is hidden among green hills and verdant ridges, it has been rarely visited by tourists in the past, and hence it is also known as the “Hidden Lake.” The Long Lake is a karst lake formed by geological faulting, with a length of about 3 kilometers and a width of only 300 meters. The lake surface resembles a lying silkworm or a crescent moon. The scenery here is ever-changing; during the day, the sunlight shines, as if covering everything with a faint mist; at night, in the tranquil jungle, pairs of Sani young men and women will play the zither and sing.
Shilin Chang Lake is located in Weizhe Village, Changhu Town, 26 kilometers from the Shilin Scenic Area, nestled among mountains at an altitude of 1907 meters. The lake has the shape of a slender girl’s figure and is the hometown of the legendary Ashima according to folk tales. Because the lake is hidden among green hills, the footsteps of visitors were rare in the past, and hence it is also called “Canghu” (hidden lake). Chang Lake is a karst lake formed due to geological faulting. It is about 3 kilometers long and only 300 meters wide, resembling a lying silkworm or a crescent moon. The scenery here is ever-changing. During the day, the sun shines down, as if covering everything with a faint mist; at night, in the tranquil forest, young Sani couples can be seen playing the guqin and singing.
