Required documents: mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong & Macau need to apply for a "Hong Kong and Macau Exit Permit" and a valid endorsement (the endorsement for independent travel is a G visa). For specific materials, you can consult the local Exit-Entry Administration Bureau. The application generally takes 8-15 working days (the processing time varies from province to city). The validity period of the Hong Kong and Macau Exit Permit under the age of 16 is 5 years, and the validity period of the electronic Hong Kong and Macau Exit Permit for adults is extended to 10 years. The endorsement is divided into family visit endorsement (T), business endorsement (S), group travel endorsement (L), personal travel Endorsement (G), Other Endorsement (Q) and Stay Endorsement (D). The holder must travel to and from Hong Kong or Macao according to the prescribed number of times and duration of stay within the validity period of the Exit-Entry Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macao and the endorsement.

Tips: If you choose a Hong Kong-Macau continuous tour product, the total duration of the itinerary is less than 7 days, and you only need 1 Hong Kong endorsement + 1 Macau endorsement. (For details, please refer to the visa requirements)

Currency: Hong Kong dollar (HK$) is commonly used in the local area. You can exchange foreign currency at major banks in the mainland and Ctrip (Ctrip) in advance, and easily experience the service of "mobile payment, cash withdrawal at the store", no appointment, no queue, and quick cash withdrawal at the airport ) to exchange. Most merchants accept UnionPay credit cards and debit cards, but some shops only accept Visa or Master credit cards, and many small shops only accept cash payments.
Tips: When checking in at a hotel in Hong Kong and Macau, the hotel will require a deposit. Most hotels do not accept UnionPay credit cards for guarantee. It is recommended that you bring an international credit card (Visa, Master Card, etc.) with you when you travel, or choose to pay in cash in Hong Kong dollars.
