Pigeon Nest Park, also known as Yingjiao Park, is located in the northeast corner of Beidaihe seashore and is one of the famous scenic spots in Beidaihe. The view of the sea in the park is excellent. Watching the sunrise here is an unmissable activity for most tourists who come to Beidaihe. When migratory birds migrate in spring and autumn every year, it is also a resort for photographers to watch birds and take pictures.
Pigeon Nest Park is a small park about 500 meters long and 200 meters wide along the beach. There are roughly three parts in the park: a mountain, a lake, and a beach. The mountain refers to the beautiful rocky hills and rocks at the edge of the sea, the lake refers to the Yuanyang Lake in the center of the park, and the beach refers to the beach wetland along the coast. In addition, there are artificial buildings such as the Sea Viewing Corridor, Yingjiao Pavilion, and statues. You can walk in the park one by one, and it takes about 2-3 hours. The old dragon head protrudes about 20 meters into the Bohai Sea. It is built of huge stones, half of which are above sea level and half of which are underwater. It is said that when it was first built, many iron pots were buried under the sea level to reduce the impact of sea water on the building. The unique construction method has been recorded in the architectural history.
Chenghai Tower is high above the old dragon head, which is the commanding height of the old dragon head. Chenghai Tower was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The wall of the building is inlaid with several lying tablets written by famous historical figures, and the cultural relics unearthed near the old dragon head are displayed in the building. From Chenghai Tower to the south, there is a towering stone tablet on the third floor of the city platform, engraved with four vigorous characters of "Tiankai Haiyue". Standing upstairs, you can see the vast sea in the south, and the Xiongguan Road in the north, where there are many beacon towers.
Ninghai City is an important part of the old dragon's military defense system, and it is a complete and large-scale Ming Dynasty military camp in my country. There are barracks area in the city: Longwu Camp; Military Officer's Mansion: Garrison Office and General Administration Office; there are Xiangong Temple for offering sacrifices to pioneer generals, and there are also Dragon King Temple and Guandi Temple for God's protection.
Chengde Mountain Resort
The Summer Resort was first built in 1703. After the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong dynasties of the Qing Dynasty, it took 89 years to complete. It is the meeting place for the Qing government, foreign envoys and frontier ethnic minorities. It is also the second political center of the Qing Dynasty besides Beijing. It embodies the "soft" side of the Qing government's foreign policy. Foreign envoys can communicate with the Qing government without having to travel long distances to Beijing, turning complex political goals into harmony in a quiet garden.
The mountain resort is divided into four areas, the south is the palace area and the lake area, and the north is the mountain and plain area, among which the palace area and the lake area are the essence of the summer resort.
Bashang (Mulan Paddock)
Mulan Paddock has been a grassland with lush water and grass since ancient times. The reason why it is so famous today is the emperor of the Qing Dynasty and the many "braid operas" today. Kangxi would go to the "Mulan Paddock" to participate in the autumn hunting almost every year after the beginning of autumn.
