Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon
Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon is located in Huguan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. The main scenic spots are Baquan Gorge, Hongdou Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Heilongtan and Zituan Mountain. Walking into the canyon is like stepping into a hundred-mile gallery. There are strange peaks and rocks standing on the walls, lush forests, hanging springs and waterfalls spraying pearls and jade, and interesting karst bridge holes, etc., which are dizzying.
Baquan Gorge has nearly a hundred scenic spots, integrating river canyons, arid canyons in limestone areas and stream canyons. It is the core tourist area of Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon. There are eight springs around the cliffs on the north side of Baquan Gorge.
Hongdou Gorge is named for the rare tree species of yew from the south that grows naturally in its territory. It is a scenic spot that combines the masculinity and boldness of the north with the softness and beauty of the south. There are primeval forests, hanging springs and waterfalls, high gorges and flat lakes. Thousands of primitive wild plants grow on the winding valleys and mountains.
