Huitengxile Huanghuagou Grassland Tourist Area HOT~HOT~
At the western end of the Huitengxile Grassland, there is a winding valley more than 10 kilometers long and about 300 meters deep. This is Huanghuagou, known as the famous river outside the Great Wall. The environment and climate here are unique, with an average summer temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, a vegetation coverage rate of over 90%, and dozens of flowers. Due to the cool and pleasant midsummer here, many emperors including Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Tuobagui, the founding emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty have come here to escape the summer heat.
As the capital of wind power in Asia, thousands of wind turbines standing in the fertile fields are the landmark buildings of Huanghuagou. Together with the sunrise and sunset on the alpine grassland, it constitutes a magnificent picture of the heavenly palace of the grassland. This is not only a strange sky, but also a peaceful holy place to watch the magnificent meteor shower. The wonders of the night sky make countless astronomy and photography lovers linger here.
At the top of the Shencong Ridge in the Huanghuagou Scenic Area, there are green grasses and red flowers growing on the Shencong, and in midsummer when a hundred birds are flying, the Shencong is overflowing with emerald green. There are two clear springs in Shenconggou, one of which emerges continuously from the depths of the huge cliff, forming a dripping pool under the huge rock. The holy water in the pool is sweet and delicious, clears the brain and refreshes the mind, so it is called the Holy Mother's Spring; the other stream flows from the cracks in the rocks for thousands of years. After the two springs converge in the scenic area, the strange peaks and rocks, flowers, plants and forests complement each other, making it picturesque. There is also a cave in the scenic area that can only allow one person to drill through. The cave is full of fairy spirit, and climbing out of the cave seems to make people become immortals, so it is called Tuofan Cave. There are also Yijingtian with fairy spirit and Foshou mountain with a height of more than ten meters; there are landscapes such as camel hump formed by camels carrying water.
Here, you can ride horses, camels, archery, shoot, watch Mongolian wrestling performances, climb Obo Mountain, visit herdsmen’s homes, taste ethnic milk food and milk tea, eat hand-steaked meat, drink kumiss... In these rich and varied activities, you can feel the rough and natural Mongolian customs.
