Yinghu Ecotourism Area is located at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain 18 kilometers southwest of Ankang City. It is a freshwater artificial lake in the northwest region formed after the completion of Ankang Hydropower Station.
Surrounding the eco-tourism area is the Ankang Hydropower Dam, which is known as "the first dam in Shaanxi". Whenever the flood is discharged, it is thunderous and spectacular. On one side of the dam is the famous Buddhist resort of Tianzhu Mountain, Baiyun Temple. Not far from the bottom of the dam is a super-large steel structure cable-stayed bridge designed and built by my country.
Yinghu Lake is vast and beautiful, and the islands in the lake are dotted with chess pieces, forming an interesting contrast. Yinghu Lake is rich in aquatic products and produces whitebait with high value. In addition, the tea produced by the lakeside, "Ankang Yinfeng" Maojian tea, is quite famous, and the lakeside is also rich in citrus. Yinghu Lake is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The lake has both wide and clean waters and winding water environment. The scenic spot provides tourists with various services such as hand rowing, pedaling, and speedboats. The mountains around here are low, the slope is gentle, and the vegetation is very dense. It is a good place to cool off in summer. There are also many restaurants in the scenic area, where tourists can taste whitebait, mandarin fish and other fresh lake fish produced in Yinghu Lake.
