Sichuan·Yanyuan·Lugu Lake·The Last Princess——Xiao Shuming

Xiao Shuming, also known as: Zier Zhima (Mosuo language, Chinese means smart and healthy, and Tibetan means long life), Han nationality, born in 1927 in the front street of Confucian Temple, Laonanmen, Chengdu, 1943 At the age of 16, she married La Baochen, the leader of the Mosuo people in Lugu Lake and chieftain of Zuosuo (now Lugu Lake Town), and became the last Mosuo Queen.

In Lugu Lake, a matrilineal clan where women are the masters, it stands to reason that the ruler should be a woman, be it a king or a tribal chief, in short, it should be a woman. But on the contrary, it is a man who rules this matriarchal society.

It turns out that outside the peach garden of Lugu Lake, there is still a patriarchal world. Since Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the ruling power of Lugu Lake has been handed over to men. "Tusi" refers to native officials and local officials. According to his current position, he is the mayor of the town, and he is the highest official in this place.

In the 1940s, the local official who ruled Lugu Lake was called La Baochen. He was a Mosuo, and he took over the official position of Zuosuo chieftain. He was in his 30s at the time, in his prime. La Baochen felt like sitting on pins and needles in the position of chieftain of Zuosuo. From the perspective of dealing with foreign affairs, he only knows a few Chinese characters and speaks a few Chinese words. It is very difficult for him to communicate with the officials. From the perspective of managing the internal affairs of Lugu Lake, there are women in charge everywhere, and a big man breaks into a woman's den, causing people to gossip anyway, often making his face red and sweating profusely. He wanted to get rid of this predicament, thinking day and night to find a good solution that would neither offend the superiors nor hinder the work in the yamen, but also be appreciated by the Mosuo people. Finally, he felt that it was most appropriate to marry a woman from the Han family as his wife. One is to be good at writing and ink, and be able to handle official documents. The second is to be diplomatic.

Therefore, fate chose Xiao Shuming. Xiao Shuming moved to Ya'an with her parents when she was young. After graduating from primary school, she entered Ya'an Mingde Girls Middle School. When she was 16 years old, La Baochen, chieftain of Lugu Lake Mosuo, came to Ya'an to meet Liu Wenhui, the then chairman of Xikang Province, and asked Liu Wenhui to give him some guns and ammunition, and help introduce a talented woman to be the princess. Xiao Shuming acted as the modern "Wang Zhaojun" and the "peace" ambassador, from Ya'an, Sichuan → Tianquan → Luding → Kangding → Muli, and finally came to the mysterious Lugu Lake. She is the princess of the Daughter Country, and helps Chieftain La Baochen handle all affairs.

Xiao Shuming has 4 brothers and sisters, two older brothers and one younger sister. Xiao Shuming's mother is a descendant of Zeng Gong, one of the Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties. She was born in a scholarly family. Growing up in such a wealthy, warm and bookish family, Xiao Shuming has gradually grown into a happy, lively and talented young girl.

At that time, Xiao Shuming's father was the Chief of the Quartermaster Division of the 24th Army, and had a close relationship with Liu Wenhui, then Chairman of Xikang Province and Commander of the 24th Army. In 1933, Liu Wenhui retreated to Ya'an, and soon after, Xiao Shuming's family also moved to Ya'an. The young Xiao Shuming was transferred to Ya'an Minren Primary School at that time, and later attended Ya'an Mingde Girls' Middle School. She is beautiful, and her academic performance has always been the first in the class. She knows horse riding and archery, she can play piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, she has personality, courage and wisdom, and she likes to sing and dance. , is also a rose with thorns.

People's fate often changes in an instant. At the age of 16, she was in the third year of junior high school, and her life was completely disrupted by the appearance of a man. This person is the "local magistrate" of Mosuo in Lugu Lake - Chieftain La Baochen. When he came to Ya'an to visit Liu Wenhui to report on his work and present gifts, he also asked Liu to introduce him to a woman who was well educated and reasonable and could help manage the chieftain's internal affairs as a princess. Liu Wenhui introduced the talented girl Xiao Shuming to chieftain La Baochen. The wedding day was fixed, but Xiao Shuming, who ate and went to school as usual, was still in the dark.

As the bride of "Hanmo Marriage", 16-year-old Xiao Shuming came to Lugu Lake by riding a pole and riding a horse. Arriving at Lugu Lake with Xiao Shuming also included 50 sets of textbooks for grades 1 to 3 and a Shuangfeng brand organ. When she arrived at Lugu Lake, Xiao Shuming was renamed "Cerzhima", and soon she adapted to the local life. A year later, she can already speak nice Mosuo dialect. She participated in many operations against bandits. In Lugu Lake, she gave birth to 4 children and lived happily ever after.

The years from 1943 to 1947 were the years when La Baochen was in Lugu Lake, and it was also the happiest time for Cierzhima's family. Although the big fight with weapons finally ended with the victory of the Zuosuo people led by La Baochen, they were seriously injured.

Her husband loves and trusts Erzhima very much, and he entrusts her with the chieftain's big seal, and the Mosuo internal affairs managed by her are also orderly. The young Cerzhima spent a chic life in Lugu Lake: smoking, drinking, reciting poems, singing and dancing, calligraphy, hunting, fighting, and suppressing rebel bandits. The respect of the Mosuo people.

In 1951, Lugu Lake was officially liberated, the world was peaceful, and the chieftain system was abolished. Her husband La Baochen changed from a chieftain to the head of the Zuosuo District and the chairman of the Yanyuan CPPCC. Cier Zhima also ended her Mosuo matriarchal clan. The career of the last princess, from a princess to a commoner. She dismissed the housekeeper and maid at home, learned to do housework, take care of children, and farm the land by herself, and started the life of ordinary people on her own, and the role change was still easy.

In 1953, Cerzhima was 26 years old. She went up the mountain to mobilize the bandits to surrender. She didn't bring anything and went straight up the mountain: "You go back, my life will stand up, and you will be safe. If the Communist Party locks you up and kills you , I’m tied up, I’m in charge.”

During the democratic reform in 1956, Tserzhima took the lead in handing over all the family's gold, silver, treasures and guns.

On May 4, 1957, a large group of Mosuo youths frantically celebrated their festival in the new yamen where Cierzhima lived, and accidentally set fire to the house, and a luxurious and magnificent "wooden building" soon disappeared Turned into ashes. Ci'er Zhima Tuo'er took his mother and lived in the newly built simple wooden building, and the old style and demeanor of the chieftain's family disappeared. Afterwards, Tserzhima experienced the impact of sports again and again.

In the winter of 1959, she was arrested and sent to Huanglianguan Prison in Xichang as an "unlawful landlord", "historical counter-revolutionary" and "exploiting class", and began her 8-year prison life. At that time, her eldest daughter was 13 years old and her youngest son was only 5 years old.

In 1967, when Cerzhima was released after serving his sentence, it caught up with the "Cultural Revolution". She didn't go back to Lugu Lake, but she thought about going back to her hometown Chengdu. In prison, she often dreamed of Chengdu when she was a child, and she cried when she thought about it. The government denied her request. At that time, a well-meaning director of the labor reform management center worried that she would be hit again after going out, so he kindly persuaded her to stay and work. So she decided not to leave, and voluntarily "continued her sentence", and worked in the prison for statistics, storage, health care, etc., which was well received by the management staff. In this way, she miraculously escaped the disaster of the "Cultural Revolution". It was not until 1973, when she thought her children were going crazy, that Cerzhima was released from prison and returned to the ancient Lugu Lake where she lived both honor and disgrace. What followed was another 14 years of labor supervised by the masses. A few years later, her husband, La Baochen, who had been living in the two places, also died of tuberculosis, and Cerzhima did not even see him for the last time.

In 1987, she finally took off the hats of "unlawful landlord", "historical counter-revolutionary" and "exploiting class" and restored her reputation. Later, she was elected as a member of Liangshan CPPCC. From being framed in 1956 to being rehabilitated in 1987, it took 31 years, what a long period of time, that was the period of her life when she was young and middle-aged, but she was surrounded by endless humiliation, suffering and bitterness!

Around 2000, Cier Zhima began to appear in the public eye. She appeared on CCTV, Hunan Satellite TV, Chengdu TV, and Ya'an TV. She told people about her tortuous and legendary life experience, and promoted the ancient customs and culture of the Mosuo people. Introduce the beautiful natural scenery of Lugu Lake!

In 2005, at the invitation of Wenzhou Oriental Women's Hospital, Cier Zhima went to Wenzhou to serve as the cultural ambassador of the "2005 Oriental Women's Health Culture Festival".

On the banks of Lugu Lake, the water is weeping, the mountains are weeping, and the departure of a mythical figure brings readers back to the shocking stormy Spring and Autumn. People use their own unique ways to commemorate this old man who was full of ups and downs and hardships in his life. According to the customs of the Mosuo people, the old man was cremated, and her ashes were placed on Wangfei Island in accordance with the old man's will.

From her marriage to Lugu Lake at the age of 16 to her death at the age of 81, Cier Zhima dedicated her entire youth and years to the land she loved so much. Mosuo people.

It's hard to go back to my hometown, and from now on, my hometown is my hometown! Cerzhima will stay on the land of Lugu Lake forever, watching and guarding that pure land day and night. Wangfei Island is the last habitat of the elderly.
