On April 9 (Tuesday), the local temperature was 22-27 degrees, and it was sunny.
The hotel has its own restaurant. There are not many varieties of free breakfast, which is relatively simple, but it is no problem to be full.
Before the trip to Guizhou, a friend of a friend was doing wine sales here. It happened that he was not in Guizhou, but he contacted the salesman of a relatively large winery.
According to the agreement, the sales staff of the winery drove to pick up and visit the winery. The distillery is located in the downstream of Moutai Town. It is said that the upstream is completely occupied by the Moutai Group, and other distilleries can only build factories in the downstream.
Along the way, the salesperson gave a detailed introduction to the development of the wine industry in Moutai Town. There are more than 400 large and small wineries registered with the industrial and commercial registration in the small Moutai Town; there are more than 1,000 family workshops. It is conceivable that it is no wonder that the local Maotai-flavored baijiu is not flooded.
It is a very large factory building, about 500 square meters in size. On both sides are the fermentation tanks dug down, and the open space in the middle is used for accumulation and fermentation. Most of them are manual operations, assisted by cranes, and grabbing operations with hoppers to improve work efficiency.
According to the salesperson, this is a new factory area with three large factories. The annual production of 400 tons of wine ranks among the top ten in Maotai Town.
The second floor of the factory is a warehouse for storing Daqu. According to the salesperson, the stored Daqu represents the strength of the factory. The raw material of Daqu is barley purchased in Henan, which is processed into large pieces slightly smaller than pillows and stored for later use.
Before use, it is ground into powder, mixed with sorghum according to the proportion, and then put into the fermentation tank for closed fermentation. After many times of fermentation, cooking, and multiple wine extractions; the wines taken out are stored in different categories; finally, they are blended and packaged before leaving the factory.
As long as I meet a familiar worker, I will greet the salesperson, open the valve, and take over the wine flowing out of the pipe with a bowl for me to taste. Judging from the scene, workers can drink freely, and it is almost impossible to control it. It is estimated that workers will not drink too much, after all, they have to complete their work tasks.
After visiting the new factory, we went to visit the old factory. The same factory building, the same fermentation tank, workers are stirring Daqu into sorghum with bare feet.
Visit the factory building where the wine is stored. There are too many large tanks of 500 kg and 1000 kg.
Not far from the warehouse is the canning workshop, an automated filling line, but some still require manual work. Packages exceeding the standard 500ml need to be filled manually.
In the reception room of the office building, there are more than a dozen stainless steel bottles with codes, each containing wine of different years. I tasted a total of 7 types from low-end to high-end. After listening to the salesperson's introduction, from the entrance, to the throat, to the aftertaste, I can indeed taste the wines of different years and have different feelings.
Have a working meal in the cafeteria at noon and return to the hotel at 1 pm.
After checking out, drive to the Wine Culture City, which is one of the must-see attractions in Maotai Town. According to the navigation guidance, it takes less than 10 minutes to arrive at the parking lot. The parking lot is not big, almost full of cars, and there are staff who seem to be directing the parking.
After stopping the car, I inquired that there is free parking here; it seems that the staff is actually selling liquor.
Cloudless, the sun is shining, the temperature is a bit high, and it is very sunny.
The Wine Culture City was built by Maotai Distillery, and the ticket is 60 yuan per person, which is a bit expensive. Come in the morning, you can buy 2 bottles of Moutai at a par price with your ticket and ID card.

The Moutai Museum introduces the history of the liquor in Moutai Town and the process of the development of the Moutai Distillery.
About 50 meters ahead, there is a modern building with "Maotai. Famous Liquor World" written on the door. On the right side of the door, a tall frame displays various Maotai liquors of various periods.
Going inside, pictures and texts introduce the craftsmanship of Moutai.
The exhibition hall on the second floor displays a series of domestic liquor products, which are dazzling.
The third floor displays famous foreign wines, and the fourth floor is the Moutai exhibition hall. Time is limited, no more tours.
At the sales office of the visitor center, Moutai is being unloaded.
Return to the parking lot and drive to Baili Rhododendron.
At 16:25, we arrived at the high-speed toll booth. There are surprisingly few vehicles on the road. Although it is two lanes, it can maintain a speed of 110 kilometers per hour.
At 17:48, we arrived at the exit of Baili Dujuan Expressway, and the ETC deducted 90 yuan.
At 18:20, we arrived at the parking lot at the west gate of Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area, and the reserved hotel was in the scenic area. After parking the car, take your luggage and go to the ticket office to meet with the hotel staff.
Buy tickets for 130 yuan/person, and enter the scenic spot with the hotel staff. The hotel is about 100 meters away from the entrance of the scenic spot, and you will arrive at the hotel soon.
Take a break and have dinner on the first floor of the hotel. The price is right and the quality is good.
The conditions of the hotel are quite average, it is just an ordinary homestay, and there is a crop field behind it. There are ten or twenty houses here, most of which are hotels or restaurants, or shops. Staying here is not cost-effective. But the rhododendrons are in full bloom for only 20 days, the most popular time of the year. During this period, the service prices of scenic spots have skyrocketed, which is understandable. If you have plenty of time for sightseeing, it is recommended to live in Dafang; or a little further away, live in Jinsha County, which is just over an hour's drive away.
The only advantage is that you can visit early.
Notice:
The reserved hotel is in the scenic area, you need to park your car in the parking lot (free of charge), and contact the hotel staff to pick you up. You need to buy a ticket before you can enter (because it is tomorrow's ticket, the ticket can only be issued tomorrow morning, and the hotel staff will come to pick up the ticket tomorrow morning); the waiting point for the sightseeing bus is at the ticket gate. Sightseeing car, just walk along the walking path from the residence).
When you want to get things in the car at night, when you go out of the gate of the scenic spot, tell the security guard that you will not be blocked when you come in again.
