Due to some reasons, I can’t ask for annual leave in August this year. The plan to travel with Xiaobao can only be adjusted to July. August has the freedom of August, and July has the scenery of July, which is okay.
In this way, the trip in July is settled.
However, the choice of destination still gave me a headache. Xiaobao wanted to go to Ningxia and join the study group, but because he hadn't decided for a long time, the time to choose was not very good. I felt that the trip to Gansu Qinghai last summer was not much different from Ningxia. In addition, I was not very confident in bringing Xiaobao alone, so I had to give up.
Next year Xiaobao will enter the first grade, so let's go to Beijing to see our capital. The itinerary is roughly set.

1. D1: July 10
The G350 at 7:00, according to the experience of previous station delivery, plans to leave at 6:20. It was still raining a little in the morning. I called T3 when I went downstairs, so I waited for a while at the gate of the community. The master is not very familiar with the route. In addition, two traffic lights were added on the road, which changed the unimpeded traffic in the past, and there was a little traffic jam. He trotted all the way to the ticket gate, and the ticket check has already begun to enter the station.
Because the tickets were bought a bit late, the two tickets were arranged in different cars. Fortunately, there was a kind old man sitting next to him. The old man was very considerate and changed his seat as he wished. The child happily shouted "Thank you, grandpa, thank you, grandpa".
It seems that this should be a good start.
The weather in Beijing in the afternoon is a bit muggy. Beijing West is still not much different from what it was more than ten years ago, except for the subway, it feels familiar. After two subway transfers, we finally arrived at Ningxia Building. Ningxia Building is actually not far from Andingmen Subway Station, a few hundred meters, but one is with children, the other is because of the hot weather, and the third is with luggage, and the sidewalks are relatively narrow and the roads are not familiar. many minutes.
After settling in, the children excitedly clamored to go to Tiananmen Square.
1.1. Tiananmen Square
Tiananmen Square is located on the central axis of Beijing and is the central square of the Republic. Many national symbols such as the Tiananmen Gate Tower, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum, and the Monument to the People’s Heroes are located here. Various large-scale celebrations are also held here. The flag-raising ceremony every morning attracts countless tourists to pay their respects.
Now as long as you enter the square, you have to go through security checks, swipe your ID card or report your ID number. Sometimes tour groups can go through the temporarily opened VIP security check channel.
There are also the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of the People, and the National Museum of China on Tiananmen Square.
1.2. Tiananmen Gate Tower
Located at the northern end of Tiananmen Square, the Tiananmen Gate Tower is a symbol of Beijing and the great motherland, and it is also a must-see for every visitor to Beijing.
Perhaps it was a bad timing, Jinshui Bridge has been surrounded by railings, and they are not allowed to go, they can't enter the tower, and they can't wait for the tower. However, there are so many people everywhere that it is impossible to take pictures without extras.
I wanted to watch the flag-lowering ceremony, but the flag-lowering time was 19:45 that day. The time was a bit unlucky, so I went back to the hotel to rest. Half a watermelon solves the problem of dinner and fruit that day.
2. D2: July 11
I originally planned to live in Xiyuan Hotel, so I planned to make reservations for the National Library and Planetarium. With great luck, I managed to snatch 100 places in the Children's Hall of the National Library; but the Planetarium did not grab a suitable movie show, so today's itinerary is very easy: the Children's Hall of the National Library, and then move to the Bird's Nest. Get ready for the Great Wall on Monday.
The environment and experience of the Children's Hall of the National Library are very good. It is worthy of the National Library. Not only is the venue spacious and the facilities are complete, but it is very considerate for children. It is a way that children like. I'm really embarrassed to say that this is the first time our little treasure uses an IPAD, but she can learn it without a teacher and is much more familiar with it than me.
In the afternoon, I took my luggage, called Didi, and went directly to the Hi Inn Bird Nest store. I booked a twin room for two days, but the hotel didn’t receive our order, so I just waited for the platform to communicate with the hotel. Later, the hotel told us to pay in cash at the platform price. The platform replied that we would either stay for one day and ask us to change to another place the next day, or we would find another place to live and compensate the first day's room fee. Of course, I finally chose to stay at the Lufeng Hotel not far away.
Rainstorm warnings are being issued everywhere, so the trip to the Great Wall on Monday can only be cancelled.
3. D3: July 12
It rained all night, and the rain in the morning is not too heavy, but it is not suitable for walking far.
After breakfast, when the rain subsided, I called Didi and went out to the Summer Palace.
I rented an electronic guide, put on a poncho and an umbrella, and entered the park through the new palace gate. The rain is very thin and dense, accompanied by the wind, even if you are fully armed, you will still get wet all over if you are not careful.
The Summer Palace was originally the palace and garden of the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, also known as the Qingyi Garden. It was built on the basis of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, and was built according to the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. It is a large-scale, well-preserved royal garden with beautiful scenery. Precious cultural relics, known as the "Royal Garden Museum". The Summer Palace can be divided into three areas: the political activity area centered on the Hall of Renshou; the empress living area centered on Yulan Hall and Le Shou Hall;
Entering the park is Kunming Lake. Kunming Lake occupies three quarters of the Summer Palace, with beautiful scenery, it is the soul of the whole garden. Kunming Lake can be divided into three parts: the Great Lake, the West Lake and the Back Lake according to the division of the water area. Every summer and autumn, a large number of tourists come here to go boating on the lake, enjoy the pavilions and pavilions by the lake, and have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of the whole garden. In addition to the beauty of the lake, the Seventeen-Arch Bridge and the West Causeway in the lake are also worth savoring.
There is a copper bull by the lake, and the copper bull has made great contributions to the prevention of floods in Beijing. Stroll to the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. The Seventeen-Arch Bridge connects the east bank and Nanhu Island. It is composed of 17 holes and is 150 meters long. It looks like a rainbow lying on a wave. Its shape has the characteristics of Beijing Marco Polo Bridge and Suzhou Baodai Bridge. There are 544 exquisite stone carvings on the bridge. There are also stone carvings of strange animals at the two bridge heads, which are very vivid.
The Summer Palace Promenade is also worth mentioning. The promenade was built during the Qianlong period. The promenade was destroyed when the British and French allied forces invaded Beijing, and it was rebuilt in 1888. There are a large number of picture scrolls on the promenade, in different forms, lifelike characters, and lively stories. Each step tells a story, which is worth experiencing slowly.
When the Summer Palace came out, it was still raining. Didi waited in line for half an hour before finally returning to the hotel. Xiaobao walked a lot today and fell asleep in the car, so the plan to go around Qingbei fell through.
As for Yuanmingyuan, I will go next time.
4. D4: July 13
I live here at the Bird's Nest, and I booked tickets and movies for Xiaobao to the China Science and Technology Museum. In addition to numerous science and technology exhibitions, there is also a science park specially suitable for children, where children can learn scientific knowledge through interactive games.
I stayed in the children's hall all morning, and the children liked it very much. At noon, I took Xiaobao to experience the 4D movie of "Bacteria Wars". After watching the movie, he said to me: "Mom, why do I feel like someone is stabbing me when I watch the movie?"
The Science and Technology Museum has brought Xiaobao a perfect experience, which may stimulate her interest and potential in exploring science. It's still a little regrettable, I had booked a dome movie, but I accidentally forgot the time and didn't pay attention to the text messages on my phone, so I missed it perfectly.
After coming out of the Science and Technology Museum, we saw the Bird's Nest (National Stadium), Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) and Linglong Tower from a distance. We were very satisfied. Of course, if it is night, the scenery will be more beautiful.
Had an appointment with a classmate tonight. Although it has been 14 years since July 2007, they are still familiar and not unfamiliar. The child said that she likes the little aunt very much. As soon as she saw the little aunt, she started playing with the little aunt. She is lively, generous, and outgoing, which formed a huge contrast with the little treasure in my impression. Except for the increase in age, Yan Qing is still the same as before, not sculpted by the years at all.
5.D5: July 14th
In the morning, we moved to Rui'an Hotel, because of its safety, and it is very convenient to go to the National Flag Square.
Settle down and head to Beijing Planetarium. Haha, found that our trip to Beijing has become a cultural trip. The children are very interested in the exhibits in the planetarium. In order to make up for the lack of the dome movie in the Science and Technology Museum, I watched "The Wonderful Starry Sky" today, which introduced the names and positions of the main constellations throughout the day with the theme of the changes in the astrology of the four seasons.
In the afternoon, the weather was a bit hot, so I went back to the hotel to rest until nearly seven o'clock, and went out to watch the flag lowering. After the flag-lowering ceremony was over, the lanterns were lit up, and the city tower was illuminated with landscape lights, reflecting each other with other buildings on Tiananmen Square, making it look extraordinarily magnificent.
6. D6: July 15th
It was less than 4:00, the sky was getting brighter, Xiaobao was woken up, and we were going to Tiananmen to watch the national flag being raised. To be honest, when I was a graduate student in Beijing, I watched the lowering of the flag once, but never saw the raising of the flag. This is the first time to see the flag raising ceremony. I am as excited as Xiaobao.
4:58 Accompanied by the March of the Volunteers, the five-star red flag is rising, and the pride of the Chinese nation is born spontaneously.
6.1. Forbidden City
The Forbidden City in Beijing, formerly known as the Forbidden City, is the palace of 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties of China. Now it refers to the Palace Museum in Beijing. It is located in the center of Beijing and is an unparalleled masterpiece of ancient architecture. The Imperial Palace palace building is the wood structure, the yellow glazed tiled roof-peak, the blue white stone base, plays the part of by the resplendent in gold and jade green color painting. The building as a whole is arranged along a north-south central axis and spreads out to both sides. The north and south are straight, and the left and right are symmetrical. According to its layout and function, it is divided into two parts: "Outer Dynasty" and "Inner Court". With Qianqing Gate as the boundary, the south of Qianqing Gate is the outer dynasty, and the north is the inner court. The architectural atmosphere of the outer dynasty and the inner court are quite different. The Outer Dynasty centered on the three halls of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony, and the Hall of Baohe. Among the three halls, the "Dian of Supreme Harmony", commonly known as the "Dian of Golden Luan", was the place where the emperor held court meetings, also known as the "Former Dynasty". In addition, there are Wenhua Hall, Wenyuan Pavilion, Shangsi Courtyard, and South Sansuo on the east of the two wings; Wuying Hall, the House of Internal Affairs and other buildings on the west. The architectural style is magnificent and the courtyard is bright and open, symbolizing the supremacy of the feudal regime. The inner court is centered on Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Palace, and Kunning Palace, and the two wings are Yangxin Palace, East Sixth Palace, West Sixth Palace, Zhai Palace, and Yuqing Palace, and there is an imperial garden behind. It is the residence of feudal emperors and concubines.
The children are full of curiosity and longing for the Forbidden City because they have heard "The Big Monster in the Forbidden City". It was the children who asked to go to the Forbidden City.
Considering the physical strength of the children, the Forbidden City arranged a day, but basically along the central axis of the Forbidden City to visit: Meridian Gate - Taihe Gate - Hongyi Pavilion (Dynasty Ritual and Music Exhibition) - Supreme Harmony Hall - Zhonghe Hall - Baohe Hall - Qianqing Gate - Qianqing Palace - Jiaotai Hall - Kunning Palace - Imperial Garden - Shenwu Gate. The scenic spots of the Forbidden City are basically on this line, and the walking time is relatively small.
6.1.1. Jinshui Bridge
The gorgeous stone bridge in the Forbidden City - Jinshui Bridge
There are five Jinshui bridges in the square in front of Taihemen. They are in the form of single-hole arches and beautiful in shape.
The children watched "The Forbidden City 100" and knew about the Jinshui Bridge. Before entering the Forbidden City, they told me: "Mom, we have built the Waijinshui Bridge". It seems that the early foreshadowing effect is not bad.
6.1.2. Meridian Gate
The Meridian Gate is the gate to the south of the Forbidden City, and it is also the main gate of the imperial city, and it is the larger one among the four gates of the Forbidden City. Built in the eighteenth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, it has a history of nearly 600 years. The plane of the Meridian Gate is in the shape of a "concave". On the east and west sides of the main tower, there are two square pavilions respectively echoing the main tower in the center. It is called the "Five Phoenix Tower", and it echoes the tradition of the palaces of the past dynasties in China, that is, the Suzaku Gate is the main entrance of the palace in the south.
The Meridian Gate Tower has five gates leading to the inner city. There are three gates in the middle of the tower, and a Yemen on both sides of the tower. The gate located in the middle of the tower is the "Royal Gate" for the emperor to enter and exit. Except for the emperor, only the empress enters the palace in a wedding sedan chair on the day of her wedding, and the champion, second place and Tanhua of the imperial examination high school can leave the palace. Walk once to show the special treatment given by the emperor. The princes and others went in and out through the west gate in the middle of the west, civil and military officials through the east gate in the east, and the Yemen at the left and right corners of the tower, which were only opened during the Great Asahi.
The Meridian Gate is also the place where the emperor often held important ceremonies. In case of a large-scale triumphant sacrifice ceremony, the emperor would ascend the Meridian Gate Tower to accept the worship, showing his royal dignity. In the Ming Dynasty, the emperor punished ministers with the "Ting Zhang" which was also carried out here. We often heard the saying "beheading at the Meridian Gate" in film and television dramas, which was adapted from the "Ting Zhang". Xisi and Caishikou in Beijing.
Now the central tower of the Meridian Gate has been turned into an important exhibition hall of the Palace Museum.
The Meridian Gate is the main gate of the Forbidden City, located on the north-south axis of the Forbidden City. This gate faces the sun in the middle, and it is located at Meridian, so it is called Meridian Gate. The east, west and north sides of the city are connected by towers, encircling a square square. The gate tower in the north is nine rooms wide, with double eaves and yellow tiles on the roof. The majestic Meridian Gate is like surrounded by three mountains, with five peaks protruding and majestic, so it is commonly known as Wufeng Tower.
6.1.3. Gate of Supreme Harmony
6.1.4. Hongyi Pavilion
6.1.5. Hall of Supreme Harmony
The place where the emperor held the grand ceremony - the Hall of Supreme Harmony
The Hall of Supreme Harmony, commonly known as the "Golden Luan Hall", is the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held grand ceremonies. On the day of the Grand Ceremony, there is a huge guard of honor from the Hall of Supreme Harmony to the outside of Tiananmen Square. Under the eaves of the Hall of Supreme Harmony is the Zhonghe Shaoyue, and inside the Gate of Supreme Harmony is the Danbi Dale. The prince stands above the Danbi. Up to the ninth rank, civil and military officials gathered on both sides of the royal road of "Pinji Mountain" in Danchi.
6.1.6. Hall of Central Harmony
6.1.7. Hall of Preserving Harmony
The place where the "temple test" is held - the Palace of Preserving Harmony
The Palace of Preserving Harmony is the essence of traditional Chinese palace architecture and belongs to a palace-style building in the Forbidden City in Beijing. Every year on New Year's Eve, the emperor entertained the princes and ministers of ethnic minorities here. Since the later period of Qianlong, it has become the place where "palace examination" is held.
The existing main beam frame is still a Ming Dynasty building. In the middle of the steps at the back of the hall, there is a Yulu stone carved with clouds, dragons, sea water and cliffs, which is called Yunlong stone carving. Whenever it rains, rainwater is discharged from the dragon mouth, which organically combines the practical function of diverting rainwater with the ornamental function of architectural art.
6.1.8. Dry cleaning door
6.1.9. Qianqing Palace
Qianqing Palace is one of the three palaces of the inner court. It was first built in the eighteenth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1420). The Qianqing Palace is a double-eaved hall with yellow glazed tiles on the roof. It is located on a single-layer white marble platform. Bronze cranes, sundials, Jialiang, 4 gold-plated incense burners in front, with Danbi in the middle, connected with Gaotai Yonglu and Qianqingmen. The scale of the Qianqing Palace is the largest in the inner court. A total of 14 emperors lived here in the Ming Dynasty.
6.1.10. Jiaotai Hall
6.1.11. Hall of Mental Cultivation
The place where the emperor went to court - the Hall of Mental Cultivation
The Hall of Mental Cultivation is a building in the shape of "工", which is divided into two halls, the front and the back. After Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, the emperor's bedroom was moved to the back hall, and the front hall became the place where the emperor handled daily government affairs and received officials and workers.
6.1.12. Kunning Palace
The bridal chamber of the emperor's wedding - Kunning Palace
Kunning Palace is one of the three rear palaces of the Forbidden City in Beijing. In the Ming Dynasty, the Kunning Palace was the queen's bedroom, but in the Qing Dynasty it was gradually changed into a place for worshiping gods.
6.1.13. Imperial Garden
The Imperial Garden is located on the central axis of the Forbidden City. It has always been a place for emperors, empresses and concubines to rest and play after dinner. The area of the imperial garden is not large, but many beautiful flowers and trees are planted, and the construction is exquisite. There are pavilions and pavilions around the flowers and trees that complement the plants, making the whole garden both elegant and quiet, yet royal.
6.1.14. Shenwumen
It's a little hot. After walking out of the Forbidden City, I wanted to go to Jingshan Park to see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, but the children were exhausted, so they had to go back to the hotel.
6.2. Wangfujing
Located on the east side of the Forbidden City, Wangfujing refers to an area centered on Wangfujing Street. There are many large-scale shopping malls here, and it is an old shopping resort in Beijing. In addition, there is a snack street that gathers delicacies from all over the world, and the Wangfujing Church with a long history. It is a popular place for shopping and tasting delicacies in Beijing.
We came here just to get something to eat. After tasting the old Beijing-style fried belly, Tianjin’s Goubuli steamed stuffed bun filled his stomach and went back.
7.D7: July 16
7.1. National Museum of China
The National Museum of China was planned before coming to Beijing.
The National Museum of China is the largest comprehensive museum in the country, which gathers the essence of culture from all over the country. There are many precious exhibits here, such as the terracotta warriors and horses of Shaanxi, the Sanxingdui masks of Sichuan, and the animal heads of the Old Summer Palace, etc. When visiting, it is like flipping through a living textbook, and it is a good place for popular science and education.
Since the appointment is in the afternoon, the time is tight. After visiting "Ancient China", we began to clear the scene.
The "Ancient China" exhibition hall is located on the basement floor. The exhibits here are arranged in order from ancient times to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, like a general history of China. When visiting, remember to enter from the entrance of the prologue hall on the north side of the exhibition hall, and browse sequentially from ancient times.
Even if you don’t know much about cultural relics here, you will definitely see many familiar cultural relics, such as: painted pottery basin with human face and fish pattern, Yangshao eagle-shaped pottery tripod, Hongshan culture jade dragon, drumming and rap pottery figurines, Zhou Zhou sheep square statue, The terracotta warriors and horses of the Western Han Dynasty, the colored pots of Chenghua Dou, and the phoenix crown of the Empress Dowager Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, etc., are so exquisite that they can be called the essence of Chinese civilization and are very eye-catching.
7.2. Nanluoguo Lane
Nanluoguxiang is not far from the Ningxia Building where we stayed, and it takes only a few minutes to walk there. This is an alley that combines petty bourgeois sentiment and old Beijing charm. It is also one of Beijing's fashion landmarks. It brings together many literary and artistic specialty shops, as well as a variety of snacks. Young people, especially literary youths, often use this place As a must-have place to visit Beijing.
The children experienced the sugar blower here and were very happy.
In the evening, I found Chaoshan porridge. There were not many people, but it was delicious and the price was very affordable.
8. D8: July 17
8.1. Beihai Park
Beihai is located on the northwest side of the Forbidden City, and together with "Zhonghai" and "South China Sea", it is called the Three Seas. The park used to be a royal garden, with pavilions and terraces in the garden, lush forests by the lake, and beautiful scenery.
As soon as you enter the park, the lotus flowers in full bloom are chasing each other and competing to bloom, which is very beautiful. The White Tower in the distance came into view. "Let's swing the oars, and the boat pushes away the waves..." The sound of rafting in the North Sea is naturally necessary.
It is a great pity that I did not go to the Geological Museum in the afternoon. I originally made an appointment with my classmates, but they all went, but I missed the appointment. I'm so sorry.
The class reunion was arranged at the University of Mining and Technology. First of all, I would like to thank my old classmates for their hospitality. We met for the first time after graduation in 2009. The students are developing very well. The kid also performed very well today, and had a great time with his little brother and younger brother.
9. D9: July 18
Return high-speed rail to Chengdu
10. Summary
Due to the high degree of self-identity, I am basically satisfied with the itinerary. The originally planned scenic spots are arranged more, actually one point a day, up to two points, mainly with children who don't want to work too hard. It's a little regrettable, but there are not many: First, travel in the rainy season has more restrictions, and I didn't go to the Great Wall. If possible, try to avoid traveling in the rainy season. The second is to change three or four hotels, which is a bit troublesome; if you go to Beijing next time, you can change it at most once. The third is that the Lama Temple, Guozijian and Confucius Temple near the Ningxia Building have not been visited... I have no small regrets, how can I have the motivation to go again next time?
