I still remember that the first time I went to Beijing was when I was in the 5th grade and my mother went to visit relatives. The most impressive memory is that I went to Zhongshan Park. Haven't been to any of the sights. Up to now, 20 years have passed, and I still want to really travel to Beijing once. Finally, this summer vacation, my 6th grade son and I set foot on the high-speed train to Beijing, realizing the free travel for 5 days and 4 nights.

The hotel we live in is between the second ring road and the third ring road, Jingtai Station on Line 14, 2 stops away from Beijing South Railway Station, which is very convenient
schedule:
Day 1: Nanjing South (9 am) - Beijing South (arrive at 12:20 noon); shopping at Qianmen Dashilan in the afternoon
Day 2: Temple of Heaven in the morning; Forbidden City in the afternoon
Day 3: Badaling Great Wall in the morning; Yuanmingyuan, Tsinghua University, and North Gate in the afternoon; Wangfujing in the evening
Day 4: Summer Palace in the morning; Nanluoguxiang in the afternoon; Shichahai in the evening
Day 5: In the morning, Guozijian Museum, Prince Gong’s Mansion; in the afternoon, return to the hotel to check out, pack up and go home
Transportation: Subway, shared bicycles (Beijing Subway is more convenient, and the basic scenic spots can be reached by subway)
Attached is a subway traffic map for your reference. The hotel we live in is between the second and third rings, Jingtai Station on Line 14.
The main scenic spots in Beijing are all on Line 1, which can be reached by the basic subway, so when choosing a hotel, two aspects are considered, one is that it is relatively close to the subway station, and the other is that there are nucleic acid testing points nearby, (During the epidemic, due to No matter where you go, you have to scan the health code in Beijing, and it seems that the validity period of the nucleic acid test is only 24 hours. During the insurance period, the nucleic acid test is done once a day). The hotel we live in meets both points, and the price/performance ratio is relatively high.
After getting off the high-speed rail at noon on the first day, take Metro Line 14 directly to Jingtai Station for two stops, and walk for about 8 minutes to the hotel. The overall service of the hotel is good, but the facilities are a bit old, the sound of the air conditioner is a bit loud, the breakfast is rich, and the price/performance ratio is relatively high. After checking in, my son wanted to eat shabu-shabu. There is Yaer Liji shabu-shabu near the hotel. The first meal in Beijing was delicious.
After lunch, take the subway to Qianmen Dashilan (Metro Line 14 outside Yongdingmen, transfer to Line 8 to Qianmen). Because of the epidemic, there were not so many people, and there were many snacks, fried noodles, etc., but because we ate shabu-shabu we didn't have the stomach to eat other things, so we could only watch.
When you get out of the subway, you can see Zhengyangmen
Bypass the Arrow Tower and walk for 5 minutes to Zhengyang Bridge, where there is a pedestrian street and Dashilan is nearby.
After visiting Dashilan, because the weather was too hot, the two of us wanted to find a cool place to rest. After a short rest, there was a nucleic acid test nearby. By the way, we took the subway back to the hotel and ate near the hotel. I ordered Qingfeng steamed stuffed buns, and the noodles with fried sauce are just average.
the next day
I woke up naturally after sleeping, washed up and went to the hotel for breakfast after 7 o'clock. The breakfast was still very rich.
Please ignore a child's burnt bread, haha, it's too dark.
After breakfast, go to the Temple of Heaven, look at the map, it is very close to the hotel. So I scanned a shared bicycle with my son, and arrived at the south gate of the Temple of Heaven in less than 10 minutes. We rented an interpreter at the gate (the interpreter can be returned at any other gate, which is more convenient. .)
It is enough time to visit the Temple of Heaven in the morning. When we come out from the Temple of Heaven, we still go to the south gate (because we are familiar with it, the weather is too hot, and we are worried about going wrong), and we come out to ride a shared bicycle to the subway station. Because the itinerary in the afternoon was to go to the Forbidden City (I booked the tickets online in advance), a certain child of my colleague wanted to eat roast duck, so we took the subway to the front door and ate the Hutong roast duck that we saw when we were shopping the day before. The taste was not bad. , Online group buying a meal for two, enough.
After eating, I thought that there is a place to do nucleic acid nearby, but the place where nucleic acid is done is at 2 pm. We can only do nucleic acid after reading in the bookstore next to it for a while. It took some time to do nucleic acid. In addition, we passed through Tiananmen Square, and then walked all the way to the Forbidden City and punched in to take pictures. A certain child had to go to the toilet, etc., which also caused us to arrive at the Forbidden City at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Yes, so the time to visit the Forbidden City is relatively tight (I suggest that if you go to the Forbidden City, you want to go to every place carefully, it will take a day, if it takes half a day, it is best to go in before 2 o'clock, and the Forbidden City starts to go outside at 5:30 chased away)
Go all the way through Tiananmen Square, check the ticket to enter the Forbidden City, and there is also a place to rent an interpreter at the door.
When we came out of the Forbidden City, we walked through Donghua Gate, and walked eastward for about ten minutes until we arrived at Wangfujing. Because I was hot and tired, I found a place to eat nearby, and saw a small hanging pear soup. After dinner, Jinyu Hutong subway station is just below the shopping mall, and we will take the subway back to the hotel directly from here.
third day
Finally going to the Great Wall! I read the strategy before and said that there are several ways to go to the Great Wall.
1. Busta
The advantage is that you don’t have to worry about anything, you can go directly to the designated subway entrance, get on the bus uniformly, and take the high speed to the foot of the Great Wall. I don't know the disadvantages, the cost seems to be 80 per person, divided into different packages. But when I was going to book the day before, I said that it was because of the epidemic that I could not accept tourist groups from outside the province.
2. Bus
The advantage is that it is cheap, and the disadvantage is that it takes a long time. If you encounter a traffic jam, you will not know the time.
3. EMU
The advantage is that the time is relatively fast, 30 minutes by train. The disadvantage is that it is a bit far from the hotel where we live, and it takes more than 40 minutes to take the subway.
The train to Badaling Great Wall is at Beijing North Railway Station and Qinghe Station (if you live in a hotel close to Qinghe subway station, you can choose Qinghe station to start). We set the bullet train from 8:15 to 8:52 in the morning to depart from Beijing North Railway Station. It is enough time to leave the hotel at 7:00 in the morning.
After arriving at the Badaling Great Wall and exiting the high-speed rail station, it takes a few minutes to walk to the hiking trail. After entering the mountain trail, it is divided into the south city and the north city. What is the difference between the south city and the north city? The terrain in the south city is more dangerous and steep, but the distance is shorter and the time spent is less; moreover, there are fewer people in the south city than in the north city, so it is more suitable if you want to take pictures; the distance in the north city is relatively slow, and the distance is a bit long. There are many people who choose the North Slope, saying that there are many scenic spots there, such as Hero Slope and so on. If you have good physical strength, you can climb the south city and then climb the north city. We were very confident and prepared to climb the south city and climb the north city, so the bullet train ticket back to Beijing was booked after 5 pm.
The temperature of the weather forecast is 37 degrees, and we are definitely good guys to climb the Great Wall, but after climbing the South City, we come down at about 12 o’clock. We really don’t want to go to the North City in such a hot situation, so after lunch, we decisively take the ticket Refunded and changed the ticket to return to the north at 2:00 p.m.
Beijing. Because we planned to go to the Old Summer Palace in the afternoon, we bought it and got off at Qinghe Station when we came back. Qinghe Station is relatively close to the Old Summer Palace.
It was still early after dinner, so we went to watch the dome theater, which was quite special, the time was 20 minutes, and the ticket price was 110 per person. After watching it, we arrived at the high-speed rail station in a few minutes.
After resting for a while on the high-speed rail and recovering your strength, get off the high-speed rail at Qinghe Station and go directly to the subway station to take Line 13 at Qinghe Station and transfer to Line 8 to Yuanmingyuan. The Old Summer Palace is relatively large, and it will take at least half a day to play in each place (if the time schedule is relatively generous, it is recommended to choose one day for the Old Summer Palace and the Summer Palace, because these two places are relatively close). Because we were hot and tired, we took a sightseeing bus and went directly to see the Dashui method after half of the shopping. Dashuifa came out and directly made a boat and returned to the south gate. Peking University and Tsinghua University are near the Old Summer Palace, but because of the epidemic, we can't get in, so we can only take a look outside.

In the evening, a child wanted to eat shabu-shabu again, so we took the subway to Jinyu Alley and ate Donglaishun. After eating Donglaishun, I went for a walk in Wangfujing to digest food, and bought the Bingdundun I had always wanted.
fourth day
The physical exertion was relatively heavy in the first three days. We plan to wake up naturally this day, and then go to the Summer Palace. We can arrange the rest freely. The Summer Palace is indeed relatively large. We took the subway and got off at Xiyuan, and walked for 5 minutes to the North Palace Gate (the back door of the Summer Palace) to enter. A tour map of the Summer Palace is attached for reference.
The route we took at that time was to enter from the North Palace Gate. After visiting Suzhou Street, we took a boat on Suzhou Street and crossed Kunming Lake. We disembarked at the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. After visiting Nanhu Island, we turned back and walked north along Kunming Lake. - Tongniu - Zhichun Pavilion - East Palace Gate - Dehe Garden - Dehe Garden - Renshou Hall - Yulan Hall - Le Shou Hall - walk halfway through the corridor to Paiyun Temple - Foxiang Pavilion - go down the mountain and then walk along the corridor to Shifang After walking, go back to Wanshou Mountain (next to Paiyun Temple) up the mountain-Wisdom Sea-Sibuzhou, and finally go back to Suzhou Street and go out from Beigongmen to take the subway. We stopped and stopped on this route from 10 am to 3 pm. We didn’t go to the scenic spots on the west side, so if you want to play thoroughly, I personally suggest that you still need to spend a day.
After coming out of the Summer Palace, we took the subway directly to Nanluoguxiang, ready to have some food (we didn’t eat in the Summer Palace, so we ate some ice cream and French fries at the small shop). All the people in Nanluogu Lane ate braised pork and fried belly. A certain child didn't eat these, and wanted to eat shabu-shabu again at night. After probably shopping around, I directly navigated to the South Gate Shabu Meat, walked through one of the alleys for seven or eight minutes, and then went to the Drum Tower to do nucleic acid. After continuing to navigate for 10 minutes, I arrived at the Houhai restaurant of Nanmen Shabu Meat. Because it was a little after 5 pm, there was no queue, and there was only one table left. The time was just right.
After eating and drinking, we walked around Houhai and the lotus market, and saw that Prince Gong’s Mansion was nearby. By the way, we made a plan for the next day and went to Beihai North Subway Station to go back to the hotel to rest.
fifth day
Check out time is 2pm, so we planned to be back at the hotel by 2pm to check out. A child wanted to go to Guozijian, so after breakfast, he took the subway and got off at Lama Temple and walked for about 10 minutes to Guozijian. After visiting the Guozijian at about 10:30, scan the code and ride to Prince Gong’s Mansion to experience other people’s mansions. After visiting Prince Kung’s Mansion, take the subway back to the hotel and eat something casually, pack your luggage, and check out. There is a Daoxiang Village next to the hotel. I bought my mother's favorite pastries and prepared to bring them to her.
Conclusion: I have finally fulfilled my desire to visit Beijing for many years. Although the weather is hot, it still cannot stop my enthusiasm. I am also very grateful to a certain child, whether it is simple luggage, or a small expert in planning subway lines and buying tickets, he is very helpful. It is a pity that the Forbidden City has no in-depth look. I can only hope that I will have the opportunity to go again in the future.
