I am attracted to Guizhou because in the list of the world's best travel destinations in 2020 released by "Lonely Planet", the only Chinese province on the list is Guizhou.
But because of the epidemic, the pace of travel in the first half of the year was almost stagnant, and in the second half of the year, I started to be busy with work again. By the time I put Guizhou on my travel schedule, it was almost the end of the year.
Although the world in winter is a bit dull, and although the coldness in the south is a bit biting, I still want to realize the wish I buried at the beginning of this year and make the originally unhappy 2020 a little bit more complete.
This time I went out with my parents. In order to take care of their ideas, in addition to the classic natural scenery, I also arranged the Red Revolution attractions. 2021 will be the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. This is a journey of revolutionary origin that I gave to my parents.
If you also have deep red feelings in your heart, or come to Guizhou with your family, then this route will be very suitable.
[First stop] Anshun
Tour: Huangguoshu Scenic Area
Days: 1 day
Starting from Guiyang, drive for 2 hours to Huangguoshu Scenic Area.
The Huangguoshu Waterfall Group in the scenic area is composed of 18 waterfalls. It is the largest waterfall group in the world and has been selected into the Guinness Book of World Records. The Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest of the waterfalls.
Tickets are reserved online in advance. At the entrance of the scenic spot, you need to swipe your ID card and collect facial information. You can pass through direct facial recognition at each scenic spot.
There are many scenic spots in the scenic area, and there are some distances between each scenic spot, so you can go there by shuttle bus.
We chose the essence tour route of the scenic spot: Doupotang Waterfall-Tianxing Bridge-Huangguoshu Waterfall.
Doupotang Waterfall is located in the upper reaches of Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is the widest waterfall in Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. It is named because it flows down the steep slope.
"Uncle and aunt, do you think this waterfall looks familiar?" The staff smiled mysteriously beside him.
Seeing our confused faces, he took out his mobile phone and showed us a video. When the familiar melody sounded, I realized that this was a filming location for the ending song of the 86 version of "Journey to the West". Tang Seng and his disciples walked together The waterfall is the Doupotang Waterfall!
Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area is a typical karst landform, with jagged rocks and gurgling clear water. Various forms of stalagmites, intertwined ancient trees, cacti in the crevices of the rocks, and the reflection of the sky on the water make this place a quiet paradise.
The most interesting thing is the counting steps here. There are 365 stones embedded in the river water, and each stone has a date on it, which adds up to exactly one year.
Walking carefully among the mountains and rivers, and finding the stone that belongs to our birthday, we have a small sense of ritual when we are here.
Gao Laozhuang, where Zhu Bajie married his wife in Journey to the West, is also here, but now it has become a souvenir shop.
Finally, Huangguoshu Waterfall made its grand finale appearance.
There is a folk saying, "If you don't go to Huangguoshu Waterfall, you don't count as having been to Guizhou."
This place that once appeared in elementary school textbooks is the most famous scenic spot in Guizhou. It is the largest waterfall in China and even in Asia. It is famous for its huge water.
Xu Xiake, the earliest traveler in Chinese history, was the first person to record the Huangguoshu Waterfall in the annals of history. It is not enough to match its appearance" is his description here. There is also a statue of him in the scenic area.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the entrance to Huangguoshu Waterfall. If you want to save energy, you can take the escalator back and forth.
Every summer is the best time to watch the waterfall. In early winter, the water potential is much smaller, but we can still hear its thunderous roar from a distance on the boardwalk.
The first time I saw it through the woods, I was deeply shocked. The rushing river slanted down from the top of the cliff, and the white water column splashed water mist when it fell.
The current waterfall is less spectacular and more beautiful, and still retains its title of "the first waterfall".
[Second stop] Maotai Ancient Town
Tour: Ancient Town, Red Army Crossing Chishui Memorial Tower
Days: 1 day
"Salt from Sichuan goes to Guizhou, Qin merchants gather in Maotai", Maotai has been a famous town in Guizhou since ancient times. Known as "China's No. 1 Liquor Town", it is the hometown of the national liquor Moutai. As early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the custom of making wine has existed for thousands of years.
Entering the town, the streets and alleys are lined with wine shops. Open the car window, and the strong aroma of baijiu sauce overflows the car instantly, making you slightly intoxicated. The driver joked with us that this is the only place in the country that allows "drunk driving" because of the smell of alcohol all the year round.
The Chishui River passes through the city, and the houses on the bank are built according to the mountains, which are antique and full of charm.
In addition to the long history of wine making, Maotai Ancient Town also has a strong Long March culture.
"Soldiers walk the world with both feet, crossing Chishui four times to emerge surprise soldiers", on March 16, 1935, the vanguard of the Red Army successfully crossed the Chishui River for the third time here, and successfully advanced to southern Sichuan, engraving Mao Zedong's "proud pen".
Along the high steps along the banks of the Chishui River, you will come to the Memorial Tower of the Red Army Crossing Chishui Four Times. This is the memorial tower for the third crossing of the Red Army's "four crossings of Chishui". The tower is 25,000mm high, implying the Red Army's 25,000-mile long march.
[Third stop] Zunyi
Tour: Zunyi Conference Site, Red Army Martyrs Cemetery
Days: 1-2 days
About 2.5 hours' drive from Guiyang, my parents and I came to the old revolutionary city - Zunyi.
If one color is used to describe a city, red must represent Zunyi.
From January 15th to 17th, 1935, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held the famous "Zunyi Conference" here. This meeting established a new central leadership group represented by Mao Zedong, which became a turning point for the party's life and death, and Zunyi was therefore called "the city of turning point and the capital of meeting".
The site of the Zunyi Conference was built in the early 1930s. It was originally the private residence of Bai Huizhang, commander of the Second Division of the 25th Army of the Guizhou Army. Now this two-story building with a combination of Chinese and Western styles is open to the public free of charge, and you can enter and visit with your ID card to collect tickets.
The meeting scene at that time was restored and restored. The military strategic map posted on the wall, the oil lamp on the table, and the telephone made me seem to reproduce the historical juncture of that extreme crisis in my mind.
Next to the venue is the Zunyi Conference Exhibition Hall, which was completed in 2005, the 70th anniversary of the Zunyi Conference.
In the lobby on the first floor, the statues of the 20 participants of that year were placed side by side, which could not help but be awe-inspiring.
The exhibition hall is very large, and my parents have visited here for a long time.
There are many pictures, cultural relics, and multimedia images in the museum. With the Red Army's Long March as the background and the Zunyi Conference as the core, through "strategic transfer", "Zunyi Conference", "crossing Chishui four times", "victorious meeting", and "forever shining" The five sections reproduce the scene of the year.
If you want to learn more about this period of history, it is recommended to apply for a manual guide at the entrance of the venue.
The last stop of this trip is the Zunyi Red Army Martyrs Cemetery not far from the venue.
In Guizhou in winter, the sun has become a rare visitor, and what is with us all day long is gloomy and cold, which further sets off our heavy mood at the moment.
The remains of the Red Army martyrs who died in the war are buried here, and it is called "Red Army Mountain" by the locals.
In the middle of the cemetery square is a majestic monument to the Red Army martyrs, on which there are eight characters inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, "Red Army martyrs are immortal".
There are often martyr sacrificial ceremonies in front of the monument. Presenting flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs here, bowing and presenting gifts, reviewing the oath of joining the party... The solemn and solemn ceremonies make us feel more and more that today's peaceful era is hard-won, and it is countless revolutionary predecessors throwing their heads and shedding blood , What has come through the vicissitudes of life and vicissitudes of life is worth cherishing.
There are 28 stars inlaid on the periphery of the circle of the monument, which symbolizes that the Communist Party of China has won the national power after 28 years of hard work. On the inner wall are "Forcing the Wujiang River", "The People of Zunyi Welcome the Red Army", "The Great Victory at Loushanguan", and "Crossing Chishui Four Times". White marble reliefs of war events.
The tombstone behind the monument is "Tomb of Martyr Deng Ping". He is a great revolutionary martyr, and his tombstone was built by Peng Dehuai himself.
"Red Army Tomb" is the tombstone of a Red Army health worker. This health worker had excellent medical skills and saved countless lives for the common people, but he was brutally killed in the end.
No matter it is Ching Ming Festival or weekdays, cigarettes are constantly lingering in front of his tombstone, and they are all the people who came to worship him spontaneously. After offering incense, people will touch his sculpture and pray for good health and longevity.
There is no beginning in extravagance, but there is an end in scruples; only by not forgetting the original intention can we have the end. We should never forget history, keep our mission in mind, and make our own contribution to an increasingly powerful country.
【Travel Tips】
1. The weather in Guizhou is relatively cold in winter, so we must keep warm.
2. Tickets for Huangguoshu are 160 yuan in peak season / 50 yuan for shuttle buses, and now 135 yuan for off-season tickets (including scenic spot insurance); Huangguoshu Waterfall escalator is 30 yuan for one way / 50 yuan for round trip. The scenic area is very large, so be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
3. Many scenic spots in Guizhou diverge around Guiyang, so Guiyang is a very suitable transit point. It is recommended to start from here to go to various places.
4. When traveling with parents, pay attention to the rhythm of the itinerary. It is not advisable to go to too many places, and try to avoid going out too early and returning late. The content of the trip should take into account the preferences of the parents. For example, this time I gave up the popular Miao Village and other places, and adjusted it to the red route to let the parents cherish the memory of the Revolutionary Long March.
