When I was a child, I was always yearning for the sea. Later, my desire to see the sea came true, and my yearning for the sea remained unchanged. I like the vastness of the sea and sky, the beauty of the blue sea and blue sky, the softness of the sea breeze caressing my cheeks, the delicateness of the waves kissing my feet... the heart that wants to see the sea has always been eager to move.

The unique geographical location, rich tourism resources, comfortable and pleasant climate, and profound historical culture have made Qinhuangdao a world-famous tourist city and a summer resort in China. If you want to escape the summer heat and watch the sea, let’s go to Qinhuangdao!

【Preparation before departure】:

1. Clothes: When traveling, the ID card is essential, so be sure to carry it with you; the arrival of the summer season means that the high-temperature barbecue mode will be turned on. If the little fairies don’t want to get tanned, please bring sun protection clothing, sunglasses, sun hats, umbrellas, sunscreen and other items; some beaches in Beidaihe can swim, and you can spare a swimsuit; if you want to take beautiful photos, remember Bring your DSLR and action camera.

2. Accommodation: Accommodation is the most important thing in travel. After all, a good sleep is the only way to have enough physical strength to play. Qinhuangdao's tourism industry developed earlier, and hotels and homestays are relatively mature. Relatively speaking, tourists who travel to Qinhuangdao prefer homestays, which are very cost-effective; Qinhuangdao homestays are mainly concentrated in Liuzhuang and Chitushan New Village in Beidaihe District. It is recommended to book in advance during the peak tourist season.

3. Playing: Qinhuangdao is very rich in tourism resources, among them, the first pass in the world, the ancient city of Shanhaiguan, Laolongtou, Pigeon Nest Park, Liuzhuang Night Market, Laohushi Sea Park, Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park, Nandaihe, Lianfeng Mountain, Ledao Sea Paradise, etc. The scenic spots are particularly famous, and you can choose to visit according to your personal situation; in Qinhuangdao, buses and taxis are the main modes of travel. During the peak season, the bus is mostly 2 yuan/person; the price of seafood is slightly expensive, you can buy it at the seafood market and bring it back to the hotel for cooking, or you can find a restaurant for processing;

【journey】:

day1: Nanyang—Qinhuangdao—No. 1 Pass in the World, Shanhaiguan Ancient City—Beidaihe Yushe Apartment;

day2: Beidaihe-Liuzhuang Night Market;

day3: Pigeon Nest - Return

Alright, let’s start my trip to Qinhuangdao~

Shanhai Xiongguan will amaze you

Since the arrival station is Shanhaiguan Station, I planned to go to Shanhaiguan first. Shanhaiguan Station is very close to the scenic spot, and it takes about ten minutes to walk there. In fact, Shanhaiguan is not a scenic spot, but includes scenic spots such as the first pass in the world, the ancient city of Shanhaiguan, and the old dragon head. Tickets for each attraction can be purchased individually or in combination. Due to time constraints, I abandoned the old leader with tears in my eyes and bought a combined ticket for one pass and one city, which is the first pass in the world + Bell and Drum Tower + Wang Family Courtyard.

I entered the No. 1 Pass in the World Scenic Area from Jingbian Building. Jingbian Building is the southeast corner building of Shanhaiguan City. It was built by Xu Da in the Ming Dynasty when he built the pass. It was rebuilt and rebuilt, and was later destroyed by the artillery fire of the Japanese invaders. The double-layer brick and wood structure, nine-ridge Xieshan double-eave roof and 56 arrow windows that we see today are rebuilt in imitation of the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the Ming-style paintings of Jingbianlou are particularly solemn and gorgeous.

Come out from Jingbian Building and walk along the Great Wall. While walking, I can't help thinking, the city wall that once resisted foreign invaders is now silently guarding this land, and has become a tourist attraction for people to recall the past and the present. The rolling hills in the distance, the flags fluttering in the wind in front of you, and the people sightseeing around you, together with the Great Wall, form a magnificent picture scroll.

There are more tourists ahead, and it is very lively. I know that the first gate in the world has arrived. The first gate tower in the world is also called Zhendong Tower and Arrow Tower. It is 13.7 meters high and has two floors. It is a bit more majestic and majestic than Jingbian Tower. There is a plaque above the lintel in the center, and the inscription "No. 1 Pass in the World" is vigorous and powerful. The Zhendong Building was first built in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. Although it has undergone dozens of repairs, the majestic appearance of "the first pass in the world" remains unchanged. Perhaps, only when you are on the scene, can you understand why there is the praise of "the key to the two capitals is unparalleled, and the first pass of the Great Wall".

Under the city tower, there are people dressed in uniforms of officers and soldiers selling customs clearance certificates, "Following the system of the imperial court, there are customs clearance travelers with ×× family name, surname × first name ×, in the year of Jihai..." He read the customs clearance in a serious manner. The appearance of the document makes people feel like traveling through time and space in an instant. You can reach the Wengcheng through the gate tower.

After getting off the first gate in the world, you can go to the military department to visit.

Then, I went to the ancient city of Shanhaiguan. The Shanhaiguan Ancient City Scenic Area is adjacent to the Tianxia No. 1 Pass Scenic Area, so it is very convenient to visit. There are Bell and Drum Towers, Wang Family Courtyard, Shanhaiguan Ancient City History Museum, Jiashen History Museum, Zhenyuan Escort Bureau, Chuangguandong Museum, Shanhaiguan Great Wall Museum, etc. in the ancient city, some of which are included in the ticket, and some need to be purchased separately. That's it.

The most unmissable thing is the Bell and Drum Tower. The Bell and Drum Tower is located on the central axis of the ancient city, opposite to the first gate tower in the world. Under the city tower, many tourists are enjoying the cool air and chatting, and the cries of selling old popsicles come and go, coupled with pedestrians passing by on bicycles, it is very lively. Climbing up to the Bell and Drum Tower, the field of vision suddenly widens, and the ancient city can be overlooked in four directions.

The Wang Family Courtyard is also one of the landmark attractions in the ancient city of Shanhaiguan. The Wang Family Courtyard is a typical Ming and Qing courtyard folk museum. Speaking of which, the Wang family was once a wealthy party, known as the southern half of Shanhaiguan! Stepping into the Wang Family Courtyard, whether it is the living room or the study room, whether it is the master's living room or the young master's living room, or the lady's boudoir, whether it is the wedding customs hall, the folk custom hall, or the shadow puppet hall, as big as the bed furniture, as small as the needlework brain, the bed cabinet table , Copper pots and utensils, pillowcases and quilts, crown towels, shoes and socks, etc., all tell the glory of the Wang family, and all show the brilliance of half of Shanhaiguan.

Through the hot air and the buildings full of history, I seem to see the mottled and shining years of Shanhaiguan...

In Beidaihe Fishing House, have a dream with the taste of sea breeze

After visiting one pass and one city, I drove to the booked homestay.

During this trip to Qinhuangdao, I stayed at Beidaihe Yushe Apartment. As mentioned earlier, most of the homestays in Qinhuangdao are concentrated in Liuzhuang and Chitushan New Village in Beidaihe District, and the fishing house is located in Chitushan New Village. Here I would like to say that the management of Beidaihe’s homestays is still very standardized. Every guest who stays must go to the “Chitu East Coast Apartment Registration Office” in the community to register.

The Yushe Apartment is very close to the Dove Nest Apartment, the Olympic Park and other attractions, and it takes 20 minutes to walk to the Dove Nest. There is a bus stop sign when you leave the community, and it is very convenient to take a car. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the community, and there are night markets and morning markets at 8:00 pm and 8:00 am every day. Don't miss it.

I couldn't wait to walk into the fishing house. Pushing open the door, the warm and warm atmosphere of home blows in. Ha, isn't this a home on the go? Two bedrooms, two living rooms, one kitchen and one bathroom, a super large space of 85 square meters, I feel a bit wasteful to live by myself. TV, washing machine, air conditioner, refrigerator, kitchen utensils, kettle, wireless network... The infrastructure is very complete, enough to meet the needs of life.

The master bedroom is simple and has a balcony. Simple but clean and tidy. The second bedroom is an oversized tatami mat, and the ocean-style decoration made me feel like a vacation immediately. Looking at the light blue wallpaper, I seem to see myself walking by the sea...

It is worth mentioning that the host of the homestay is very nice. The reason why I like Tujia's B&B is because it has a more human touch than a hotel. From the communication before check-in, the thoughtful little gift prepared for me, to the enthusiastic help when I checked in, I felt at home.

After putting down my luggage, I took a hot bath. That day, in Beidaihe Yushe Apartment, I had a dream with the smell of sea breeze.

Hi, Beidaihe, how are you?

The next morning, I got up at 3:00 am, met my friends and set off for the pigeon nest to watch the sunrise at 4:00 am.

If I hadn't gotten up early, I wouldn't have had the chance to see Beidaihe at four o'clock in the morning. At four o'clock in the morning, the night market in the community has just closed its stalls, and the vendors at the entrance of the scenic spot have already started to solicit customers. The road was surprisingly quiet, except for the cicadas that were hiding and screaming tirelessly... Unfortunately, it was raining and we couldn't watch the sunrise as we wished.

After returning to the homestay, the light rain turned into heavy rain. Well, let's catch up on sleep~ After waking up, the rain is still falling. I emptied myself in the homestay, listening to the rain in a daze, and my heart was surprisingly peaceful. Yes, living a busy life in the city, how long has it been since you calmed down and listened to the sound of the rain? Although the heavy rain disrupted our plans, it also brought us a different journey experience.

After the sky cleared up in the afternoon, we unanimously decided to go to the beach for a walk. There are many baths in Beidaihe, and most of them are free. There is a free bath near the pigeon coop.

In Beidaihe, where it has just rained heavily, the air is still hot and dry, and the turbid sea water has also made the appearance of the entire beach a little bit lower. Even so, my excitement is still uncontrollable, because I finally came to Beidaihe, which I have been thinking about, and finally saw the sea again. I just want to say a few words, hi, Beidaihe, how are you~

The tourists seem to be the same as me, and their mood has not been affected. They are either happily taking pictures, or walking on the beach with bare feet in twos and threes...the happiest thing is the children. The children who were on vacation were all very happy, playing in the water, playing and playing, and concentrating on building their own castles with sand... The beach became their paradise, and they showed the most innocent smiles on the beach. I believe that this summer will be the most beautiful scene in their memory. One day in the future, when they think of the scene of playing in Beidaihe, there should be sweet smiles on their faces~

After returning from the beach, I went to the market with my friends to buy, and then went back to the homestay to cook. Washing dishes and dishes, choosing and washing vegetables, cooking, and serving dishes, with the concerted efforts of everyone, a table of delicious dishes is ready. Chatting and enjoying our sumptuous dinner, it was cozy and beautiful.

Liuzhuang Night Market, there are many things I don’t know

After dinner, of course, go to Liuzhuang Night Market for a stroll!

Liuzhuang Night Market can be regarded as the earliest night market developed in Beidaihe. Whenever the lanterns come on, tourists flock to Liuzhuang Night Market in an endless stream, and the nightlife in Beidaihe officially begins.

Rows upon rows of shops, hustle and bustle of tourists, the sound of hawking one after another... how lively it is! When I first arrived at Liuzhuang Night Market, I was dumbfounded. Isn't it just a night market? What's so attractive about it? There are so many tourists? After walking around for a while, I suddenly realized that seafood, barbecue, fruit, local products, clothes, toys, etc. can be described as everything, and Liuzhuang Night Market is like an internet celebrity street in Beidaihe. Isn't this lively atmosphere what tourists like?

Before I went to Liuzhuang Night Market, I thought it was just a snack street, but I didn't expect that all the food, drink and entertainment gathered there. I thought it was just an ordinary check-in point, but I didn't expect it to be so popular... I couldn't help but think of the lyrics in my mind, "There are so many things I don't know".

Pigeon Nest Park, catch the sea to watch birds, listen to the wind and watch the sea

Pigeon Nest Park is a popular attraction in Beidaihe. If you travel to Beidaihe but miss the Pigeon Nest, you may feel somewhat regretful.

I don’t know what kind of fairy luck, the first day I came to Qinhuangdao was extremely hot, the second day was heavy rain, and the third day was foggy. I caught up with several kinds of weather by chance. Go ahead, the weather is bad. Don't go, I am a little unwilling. After struggling for a while, I decided to save my last morning in Beidaihe for the pigeon coop.

Pigeon Nest Park is not too big, two or three hours of play time is enough. The environment in the scenic area is not bad. There are many trees in the shape of bird's nests for tourists to take pictures, but sometimes they need to queue up.

When I arrived at the shoal, there were already many tourists rushing to catch the sea. The so-called catching the sea refers to the process of people salvaging and collecting seafood on the tidal flats and reefs of the coast after the tide has ebbed. Most of the tourists in Pigeon Nest are parents and children, and most of them are parents who bring their children to play together. Almost every child has a small plastic bucket, a small shovel, and a small net bag. Under the leadership of their parents, they searched for small shrimps and crabs under the reef, in the sand, or in the shallow sea. Some parents can't help but go to battle in person, and then "show off" their trophies to the children.

Unable to resist the temptation, I also played by the reef for a while. I actually caught two small crabs the size of the fingernails of my little fingers! I looked up into the distance, and found that the fog had dispersed, and the sun shone on the sea, shining brightly. It's a pity that the season was wrong and I didn't see many rare migratory birds.

Pigeon Nest Park has a small hillside, which is an excellent location overlooking the sea. Taking a rest in the pavilion, blowing the sea breeze to see the sea view, or watching the murals in the sea-viewing promenade, and taking a few beautiful photos with a few shapes are all refreshing things. Looking down from the hillside, the tall and steep boulder like a falcon is particularly eye-catching. It is the famous Eagle Horn Rock. Because sea pigeons often lived in ancient times, it was named Pigeon Nest.

In addition to the astonishing scenery, the historical legends circulating in Pigeon Nest, such as Emperor Qin's East Tour, Han Wu's residence, Taizong's view of the sea, etc., cast a layer of mystery on it.

So far, my trip to Qinhuangdao has come to an end. Although the three-day and two-night trip to Qinhuangdao was short, it was enough for me to think about it for a long time.

【Practical strategy】:

1. Food: When you go to Qinhuangdao, you must try the seafood there. However, the summer vacation coincides with the fishing ban in Qinhuangdao, so seafood is more expensive than usual, and it is very likely that what you eat is not authentic seafood. A friend of a small partner took us to have a seafood meal at Xianghaiju Home Cooking. I don’t know if it is authentic, but the taste is not bad, and the portion is very large. If you want to eat authentic seafood, you can ask the locals about seafood restaurants with relatively high cost performance, or you can buy some seafood in the market and bring them back to the hotel to cook by yourself. It is also possible to find a restaurant for processing, and just pay the processing fee. ; It is also very interesting to buy some vegetables and cook at the homestay.

2. Lodging: For accommodation, hotels, homestays, and family hotels are all available. B&Bs are recommended, cost-effective and you can also cook, why not do it? It is recommended to book in advance during the tourist season.

3. Travel: There are many bus lines in Qinhuangdao, and there are special tourist lines, just prepare some change. Remember to bring your ID card when you take a taxi, it may be checked.

4. Sightseeing: The First Pass in the World, Shanhaiguan Ancient City, Laolongtou, Pigeon Nest, Le Island, etc. are popular scenic spots in Qinhuangdao, especially during the peak tourist season, when there are many tourists, it is recommended to be mentally prepared. And it’s best to avoid Saturdays and Sundays; one pass? The ticket for the ancient city experience tour is 50 yuan/person (including the first pass in the world, the Bell and Drum Tower, and the Wang Family Courtyard); the first pass in the world + the old dragon head + the bell and drum tower + The combined ticket of Wangyang Building + Yingen Building + Wang Family Courtyard is 120 yuan/person (including sightseeing cars between various scenic spots). If you have enough time, it is recommended to buy a combined ticket of 120 yuan/person, which is more affordable; Pigeon Nest Park Tickets are 25 yuan/person.

5. Entertainment: Friends who like to swim can choose a beach they like to swim; Pigeon Nest is known as "the most beautiful sea sunrise landscape in China". If conditions permit, it is recommended to watch a sunrise at Pigeon Nest. You can check the sunrise time on your mobile phone and rush to the place in advance to wait. Pigeon Nest Park usually opens at four o'clock in the morning in summer;

6. Others: When buying seafood, remember to order the seafood you have chosen to avoid being dropped; you can bargain when shopping at the Liuzhuang Night Market! Don’t feel embarrassed, just bargain; Qinhuangdao has several stations, such as Qinhuangdao Station, Shanhaiguan Station, Beidaihe Station, etc. You can plan your travel route in advance and choose a suitable station;
