When the scorching heat is approaching and the temperature becomes even hotter, I can't wait to escape the city and live a life in a cool summer resort for a few days. Climb to the top of the mountain to see the changing shapes of the clouds floating in the sky; watch the sunset in the evening, the charming beauty of Jinshan in the sunshine; look up at the sky full of stars in the cool summer night...

My best friend in Beijing said: "Why don't you come to Beijing, and I'll take you to a small and beautiful summer resort!"

I just left, bought a high-speed rail ticket, and rushed from Shanghai to Beijing.

After arriving in Beijing, we took the high-speed train from Chaoyang Station to the west of Xinglong County in Chengde, Hebei. My best friend said that she had driven here before and it took nearly two and a half hours to arrive. But this time, after the opening of the Beijing-Harbin high-speed railway, it only takes 37 minutes from Beijing Chaoyang Station to Xinglong West Station, and the fare is not expensive, only 60 yuan, which is very economical and convenient.

At the West Railway Station of Xinglong County, I was fascinated by the local sky. The cotton-like clouds are simply a "map of China".

Meet "Mushroom Cloud" on Wuling Mountain, a summer resort

My best friend said that in Xinglong, you must go to Wuling Mountain. This is a small summer resort that many people don't know. With green mountains and green waters, the forest coverage rate reaches 93%. It is known as "three miles with different skies, one mountain with three seasons". The annual average temperature is 7.6°C, and the average temperature of the hottest month is only 17.8°C. It is like a "cool island" in the "hot sea" in North China.

We took the sightseeing bus in the scenic area to reach the main peak at an altitude of 2118 meters, which is one of the peaks of the Yanshan Mountains.

The Wuling Mountain was particularly charming and magnificent in the blue sky and thick clouds that day. The clouds and mist are changeable. Watching it slowly form a mushroom cloud on the top of the mountain is wonderful and shocking.

Running against the sunset on the small road where the flowers in the forest are blooming, breathing in the freshest air in the mountains, is the kind of joy after escaping from the city.

At dusk, I saw Wuling Jinshan, and the afterglow of the setting sun shone on the top of the mountain, showing a gentle and magnificent beauty, which is amazing.

Counting the stars in the courtyard of Xinglongzhai Forest Country House

In the evening, we stayed at the Xinglongzhai Forest Country House around the scenic spot. There are two courtyards here, No. 1 and No. 2. Courtyard No. 1 is a Chinese-style courtyard, and Courtyard No. 2 is an independent small villa. We live in No. 2 courtyard, each courtyard has an independent swimming pool, sit in the courtyard and make a pot of tea, spend a little time in a daze, and listen to the clear and crisp calls of birds in your ears, you will suddenly feel changed Calm and tranquility.

The room is clean and comfortable, with a sense of design and complete facilities. The floor height here is very high, which makes people feel very comfortable, and the toiletries in the bathroom are also very high-end.

In the courtyard at night, you can see the sky full of stars shining in the night sky. Although it is summer night, you don’t have to worry about mosquitoes. The temperature here is so comfortable that you don’t need an air conditioner!

We had dinner and breakfast in the Hongguo Restaurant that is included in the B&B. As a southerner, we experienced authentic northern farm food. Many dishes have never been eaten before. It feels very fresh, hehe~

Summer summer wonderland Kistler Valley, visit the secret land of Carson

I really love this place. Birds chirping in the depths of Kistler Valley, clear springs and nine bends in the gorge, pools and waterfalls, and Xiongfeng reflected in Shiyun Lake.

The black-heart cone chrysanthemums in the mountains are blooming just right, and the air is filled with coolness and comfort. Playing in the clear and green streams, cooling off the heat, and indulging in the waves of water.

Walking in the mountains and looking at the moss-covered rocks is particularly mysterious and charming in this forest secret.

Experience summer rafting in Tianqiaoyu

Summer in Tianqiaoyu belongs to rafting. The rafting here is 5.5 kilometers in length, with a drop of 220 meters. The process lasts for more than an hour. The torrents and rapids are thrilling and exciting.

The scenic spot has undulating mountains and ravines, and has the reputation of "Little Guilin in the North of the Great Wall".

Feel the charm of poetry culture in Shishangzhuang

In the evening, we live in Shishangzhuang.

When I heard the name "Shishangzhuang", I had a special liking. The entire village here is filled with a cultural atmosphere, from the beginning to the end of the village, there are poems everywhere.

A sculpture of the poet Li Bai was erected in the river.

The "Smiling Face Wall" in Shishangzhuang magnifies the large smiling faces of the villagers and displays them on the wall, hoping that people can always smile.

At the end of the village, there is also "Poetry Inkstone Pond", which is named after it looks like an inkstone, and the village erected a big writing brush beside it.

Shishangzhuang is located in the depths of Yanshan Mountain. There are more than 100 households and more than 500 people in the village. Strolling along the river, watching the light flow of the stream, clear to the bottom, and white swans playing in the water.

Poets Liu Zhang, Liu Xiangdong, Liu Fujun and essayist Liu Fang have come out of Shishangzhuang successively. Up to now, this small mountain village has given birth to 4 members of Chinese Writers Association and 11 members of Hebei Provincial Writers Association.
