Everyone should be relatively unfamiliar with the city of Shihezi! It is a small city hidden in Xinjiang, but the sense of happiness is extremely high. It was selected into the 2018 National "Happy Hundred Counties List", and it is also the top 100 in the overall well-off index of Chinese cities. After the tour, I even had the urge to move here.
Shihezi used to be the headquarters of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and then the headquarters moved to Urumqi. Shihezi is a military-reclamation new city based on farms, dominated by industry, combining industry and agriculture, combining urban and rural areas, and integrating agriculture, industry and commerce. It is known as the "Pearl of the Gobi".
We shuttled through the city and found that we could finish the main urban area in a short while. Although the city is not big, it has all the internal organs. There are museums, libraries, cinemas, shopping malls, and commercial streets, and they are all concentrated. I feel that the citizens of Shihezi should not have to worry about traffic jams, because wherever they want to go is not far away.
Although it is a modern city, it still retains many historical relics, and most of the old buildings are in Soviet style, and the colors are beautiful.
The roads in Shihezi are all square. The city is divided into squares by straight roads, just like a regiment. The names of communities are also taken from numbers. The name of the road uses east, west, north, south to represent the direction, and then add numbers as the name. There is only one commercial street with a special name, Xingfu Road. The locals told us that you will never get lost in Shihezi, the road here is so easy to recognize. As long as you turn three times in the same direction, you can return to the original point.
There are also long underground commercial streets and many roads leading to the city, which can avoid the heat in summer and the cold in winter.
Xinjiang Corps Military Reclamation Museum: Reading Shihezi's Military Reclamation History
After chatting with everyone about the city of Shihezi, let's look at some scenic spots in Shihezi. If you want to understand Shihezi in depth, it is best to go to the Xinjiang Corps Military Reclamation Museum. I suggest that you go to the museum first after arriving in Shihezi. After you have a certain understanding, you will have a deeper feeling when you visit the city.
The Army Reclamation Museum of Xinjiang Corps was rebuilt and expanded from the "First Building of Military Reclamation", a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in Shihezi City. Named as the national patriotism education demonstration base, it is also one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots in the country.
There are majestic sculptures standing in front of the museum, and there are some combat equipment around them. The decoration of white snow makes them more charming.
The museum mainly has three exhibition halls. The first one is "Ancient Shihezi", which displays the stone tools, pottery, bronze ware unearthed in Shihezi, and shows the remains of human activities in Shihezi in ancient times. The second exhibition hall is "Brilliant History", which shows people the story of the Production and Construction Corps' reclamation and development on the Gobi when it first arrived in Xinjiang. During the special period, the exhibition will be a little simpler. But the glorious history of Shihezi, the arduous process of the Corps to Xinjiang to reclamation and development on the Gobi can still be seen.

It has fully played the role of a patriotic education base, and also played a huge role in Xinjiang’s military reclamation cause and the construction of national spiritual civilization.
Tao Zhiyue and Zhang Zhonghan's former office and residence site: a tribute to lovely great people
After viewing the museum, we then went to the old offices and residences of Tao Zhiyue and Zhang Zhonghan. Both of them had close ties with the Xinjiang Corps and Shihezi.
The buildings in their office and residence are all very elegant, the walls are particularly thick, which can effectively keep warm, and the walls inside the windows are slanted, which is said to facilitate investigation and prepare for battle at all times.
The outdoor part is mainly some war and agricultural implements, and the indoor part is more abundant. Each room is equipped with wax figures and some facilities left over from that time, which well reproduces the scene at that time.
On September 25, 1949, Tao Zhiyue led 100,000 Kuomintang army officers and soldiers stationed in Xinjiang to electrify the uprising, accepted the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and made great contributions to the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang, the maintenance of national unity and the establishment of New China.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tao Zhiyue successively served as the commander of the 22nd Corps of the People's Liberation Army, a member of the Northwest Military and Political Committee, the deputy commander of the Xinjiang Military Region, and the commander of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. , becoming a well-known agricultural demonstration area.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Zhonghan served as the political commissar of the Ninth Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the second political commissar of the director of the Political Department of the 22nd Corps of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the deputy political commissar of the Xinjiang Military Region, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Reclamation, and the artillery consultant of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Chateau Changyu Baron Baron: The first professional winery in Xinjiang

Surprisingly, I have always thought that Liangpi is a special snack in Shaanxi, but I don’t know that it is also a famous snack in Shihezi. If you travel to Shaanxi, you must eat Liangpi, and if you travel to Xinjiang, you must also eat Liangpi. It is a must-have delicacy in Shihezi. The reason, as I have discussed with you before, is that Shihezi is a city that gathers people from all over the country.
If you want to eat Liangpi, I recommend this Xiaosimianpi, which is a famous Liangpi shop in Shihezi, just near Xingfu Road. Its Liangpi is characterized by its strength and rich soup. Tianshan Tianchi, known as "Yaochi" in ancient times, is located on the mountainside of the northern slope of Bogda Peak. It is a natural scenic spot centered on alpine lakes, and it is also a typical mountain-type natural landscape in the arid areas of Northwest my country.
When we went there, the 18th Tianshan Tianchi Ice and Snow Festival was being held. Snow sculptures or ice sculptures were arranged in the new access control, ecological environment education base and Haibei respectively. Cultural and creative products as the theme.

Xixiaotianchi is about two kilometers below the foot of Tianchi, also known as Yunvtan, which is said to be the place where Queen Mother of the West washes her feet. Urumqi
If it is farther away, you can arrive in Urumqi first. Many cities across the country have direct flights to Urumqi. If not, you can also choose to transfer. There are direct flights from Nanchang to Urumqi, but not every day. If there is no direct flight, you can choose to transfer in Xi'an, which is more convenient.
The flight time from Nanchang to Xi'an is about 2 hours, and the flight time from Xi'an to Urumqi is about 3 hours. You can see the beautiful snow-capped mountains on the way.
