Take a car along the Sichuan-Tibet line all the way to Linzhi, a small south of the Yangtze River in Tibet. Linzhi is a beautiful plateau city, but the beautiful natural landscapes are far away from the city. If you go west along National Highway 318 from Nyingchi, you can go directly to Lhasa. The road condition is very good, and there are many shuttle buses. You can arrive on the same day, and now there are even expressways. Back then (2011), I did not choose to go straight to Lhasa, but made a detour to Lang County in the south first, and then planned to go to Shannan.
Lang County belongs to Nyingchi. Lang, which means "appear" in Tibetan. The county seat is located in an open valley of the Yarlung Zangbo River, surrounded by mountains and ravines. The county seat is not big, and the county seat is located in Lang Village. There are no buses and no taxis.
