If you are not short of money or want to play more comfortably, especially for foreign tourists who come from afar, I still recommend you to stay in an official hotel. There is no other reason, close enough.
After reading a lot of complaints, I just think that "the two official hotels are not worth the price". It depends on how you think about it. In my opinion, the biggest advantage of staying in an official hotel is the unique location and the ability to check in in advance.
The Universal Studios Hotel can be said to be in the C position of the park. Directly below the building is the ticket gate, forward is the theme park, and backward is Universal City Avenue. Every visitor to Universal Studios will pass through this building with a retro California tone.
Due to the advantage of its geographical location, this hotel has a lot of landscapes inherently. For example, in the afternoon on the terrace of the hotel's retro Red Dragon Lounge, you can see the floats of the World Parade. Doesn't it sound a lot more refined just because you don't have to compete with the audience for territory?
Another NUO Hotel has to walk from the outside passage to the ticket gate downstairs of the Universal Studios Hotel to enter, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk. I think it is quite torturous to walk outside in summer and winter, it is not as convenient as living in Universal. Both hotels can enter the park 1 hour in advance.
The two hotels have a total of 1,200 rooms, and 3,000 people entered the park an hour early, and dispersed after entering. I finish one park in an average of 40 minutes that day, and I can scan all your favorite popular projects, such as Decepticon roller coaster and Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey, almost without queuing one hour earlier. For parent-child families, if you are tired from playing at noon, you can come back and take a nap before going. Think about the experience, it will be much better.

How to choose the two hotels? Universal Hotel can be compared with Disney’s Toy Story Hotel. The basic room type starts from 30 square meters, while NUO is more high-end and luxurious, with the basic room type starting from 50 square meters. I won’t say more about the specific hotel reviews, you can read what others wrote, after all, I didn’t live there, so I don’t have the right to speak.
Well, since I didn't live there, let's talk about the alternatives around the resort. The Beijing Municipal Government removed more than 7,000 homestays in accordance with laws and regulations before the opening of Universal Studios, which means that we can only choose to stay in hotels.
It is recommended that you book direct for 2 nights. After playing in Universal Studios all day, if you still have to take a taxi back to downtown Beijing, you may still encounter traffic jams, believe me, you will be exhausted. At the same time, it is also recommended that you book directly with breakfast, because Huanying has to queue up to enter the venue at seven or eight in the morning, and it is more convenient to have breakfast at the hotel!

Hilton Beijing Tongzhou Beitou & Hampton by Hilton Beijing Canal Business District
Students who have requirements for the quality of accommodation should pay attention: there are not many high-end hotels to choose from in Tongzhou, and Hilton Beitou and Hampton by Hilton are the only two international brand chains.
Looking at the map, the two hotels are located on Xinhua Street, which is considered to be the busiest street in the entire Tongzhou District, and many official departments are located on this street. Next door to Hilton Beitou is the Aegean Sea Shopping Park. The predecessor of Hampton by Hilton was an old-fashioned department store Hualian Mall, which just reopened this year. All in all, living here, eating supper at night, and buying some necessities for life is always nothing to worry about. 25 minutes by taxi to Universal Studios.
Beitou Hilton’s house price for weekends in October is around 1,900 yuan, and the basic room type is 45 square meters. Hilton Beitou provides a shuttle bus to and from Universal Studios. You can ask at the front desk when you check in.
Hampton is a mid-to-high-end business brand under Hilton, which is not as good as Hilton. The price of the hotel on weekends in October is referenced at around 500 yuan, and the basic room type is 40 square meters.
Beijing Asia Pacific Garden Hotel
In addition to two international chain brand hotels, there is also an Asia Pacific Garden Hotel that is relatively high-end. The disadvantage is that their home opened in 2004, and the design style still stays in the aesthetics of 20 years ago. The area of the basic house is 28 square meters, and the house price is 820 yuan for reference on weekends in October.
If three generations of grandparents and grandchildren come to Universal Studios to play together, I actually think it would be fine. It is too easy for children to be distracted. After finishing the discharge in Universal Studios during the day, they will go back to sleep at night. They will not think the decoration is old-fashioned.
From the airport, you can take the airport bus directly, and the terminal of the Tongzhou Branch Line of the airport bus is located in the hotel courtyard. To go to Universal Studios, there is also a free direct shuttle bus, 15 minutes by taxi, and take the subway to Liyuan Station (10 minutes walk from the hotel) and take 4 stops to Universal Studios, about 11 minutes.
If you only have requirements for cleanliness and comfort, then choose a chain/express hotel that is close to the subway station or convenient to take a taxi. There are 2 subway lines in Beijing that can go directly to Universal Studios, namely Batong Line and Line 7. The entrance of Universal Studios is the entrance of the park.

If you live along the subway line, art lovers can consider visiting Xiahan Meilin Art Museum. There are only two in the country, one is in Hangzhou and the other is in Tongzhou, which is located at Jiukeshu Station of the subway. If you live in downtown Beijing, it is unlikely that you will come here alone for Han Meilin, is it?

The focus is on two concentrated subway stations: Liyuan Station and Wansheng East. Liyuan Station is a wonderful place. Many of my friends who work in China World Trade Center live in this area, and there are many young people. Liyuan stands out as a big shopping mall, the kind in the 1990s, with Wumart supermarket downstairs and a food court on the top floor. It takes about 10 minutes to live here by subway/taxi.
JI Hotel Beijing Tongzhou Yunhe Street
This is the accommodation I chose this time. I just wanted to make do with one night and return to the city after staying for 2 days. It only cost 797 yuan. After staying here, I feel that it is really delicious! Great value for money! Look at the real picture~
The hotel is some distance away from Liyuan subway station, which is also considered as the Liyuan business district. In the morning, take a taxi to Universal Studios for 20 minutes, about 30 yuan. Just across the road from the hotel is CP Lotus. There are KFC, Coco milk tea, and Yoshinoya downstairs. On the first day of arrival, I bought some snacks and went to the paradise to eat.
If you book a superior double room, you need to swipe your card to enter the room area. The area is 28 square meters, with a sofa and a small table, which is very convenient for office work, the bed is quite comfortable, and the shower has plenty of hot water, which is just right for one person.
What amazed me the most is that their home can order takeaways to be delivered upstairs by robots. After playing for a day, I really don’t want to move. It feels really good to order takeaway and deliver it to the door! The little yellow man and Hedwig who were purchased by the park also delivered the express at the hotel together. Every time I entered the lobby, the staff would take the initiative to say hello to me and hand me water. When I lived, it cost less than 400 yuan a night, it was really delicious! Now check the October weekend reference price of 458 yuan.
Atour Hotel Beijing Tongzhou Liyuan Subway Station
Their family was previously sued by the Beijing Market Supervision Bureau for copyright infringement. Why? Because their family used the words "Universal Studios" to engage in business activities without permission. From a geographical point of view, it is indeed close enough.
Atour is a very young brand, and the design is in line with everyone's aesthetics. Backed by the shopping mall, a few steps away from the subway station. There is a room on the first floor next to the subway station, which may be a little noisy during the day. The room area is about 25-30 square meters, with complete facilities.
The public area is also equipped with a self-service laundry room. The double breakfast is only 90 yuan, and there are not many choices, but it will be cold in Beijing soon, so it would be nice to go out after eating warm!
The house price on weekends in October is 697 yuan for reference. This is why I didn’t choose Atour this time. It’s already at this price. Why don’t you stay at Hampton by Hilton?
Chaoman Hotel (Beijing Linheli Subway Station)
Chaoman belongs to the mid-to-high-end business hotel brand of Jinjiang Hotel Group. This store is located in the Liyuan business district, but it is closer to the Linheli subway station. It is recommended to take a taxi for about 15 minutes. The basic room type is 28 square meters, and the house price on the weekend of October is about 530 yuan.
There is also a Shanshui Trends Hotel (Beijing Universal Liyuan Subway Station Branch) in this area to choose from. The basic room type is 18 square meters, and the price for weekends in October is 491 yuan for reference. How should I put it, if I were to choose, I would still choose the nearby Atour. You get what you pay for. This hotel invested and managed by CYTS can only barely be regarded as an overnight stay.
Another subway station, Wansheng East, is 4 subway stops away from Universal Studios Resort, 10 minutes away. This area is also a large residential area. Chatting with the driver while taking a taxi, I learned that many people living here were demolished from the Universal Studios Resort. This means that there are many cheap snack restaurants here, and a simple meal or noodles is about 20-30 yuan. I went alone to eat a meal of hot-boiled lamb for 78 yuan, and another meal of barbecue for 98 yuan, which is hard to imagine in Shanghai.

James Joyce Coffetel (Beijing Tongzhou Universal Studios)
James Joyce Coffetel is one of the mid-end hotel brands under Jinjiang, which focuses on coffee shop culture, and each room is equipped with a set of hand-made hanging ear coffee. The hotel has a unique courtyard with its own parking lot. It is very convenient to drive from the airport and train station. Magnolia Beijing Tongzhou Universal Resort Subway Station Branch
Compared with the above-mentioned express hotels, the room color scheme of this Magnolia is much more pleasing to the eye. There is nothing else to put in this place, 3.8 kilometers away from the park, about 5 minutes by taxi. The basic room type is 18-20 square meters, and the house price on weekends in October is about 440 yuan.

Most of these fast chains are built because of Universal Studios. Although the experience is not comparable to that of big-name hotels, but fortunately they are new enough to sleep for 1-2 nights. There is no problem.
Compared with when I booked in September, the hotel room rates here have risen to varying degrees. After the whole review, I think the most cost-effective ones are: Universal Studios Hotel, Hampton by Hilton Beijing Canal Business District, and the whole season I stayed in by mistake. It is recommended that you be optimistic about the time, book early, or grab some coupons during Double Eleven.
